I wouldn't say the solox is garbage, the spec between them are close and I have installed many solox 18's but it is a good comparison between a $800 1500 watt woofer and a big name sub that will claims to handle 10000 watts on a burp, that costs twice as much

I know you don't want advice from some one small, As I am only 5'3 148 pounds. But I have been powerlifting since 2001 and am currently ranked 5th in the country and 10th in the world in my weight class. I am around and deal with a lot of people trying to loose and gain weight all the time. As you already know it is hard to stay on a diet because it gets boring after a while. Hell, I weigh as much as one of your legs and I have to manage to eat 4000 calories a day to mantain my body mass. I am like you I am just dealing with a different demon. Don't try to stop eating what you like because you will fail no matter how hard you try. Food is an addiction just like those cigarrettes you smoke. And just like smoking you can't stop cold turkey you have to take small steps to reduce the amount of food you take in first, then you can work on altering your diet to more healthier foods. An average adult eating three times a day should only eat 1 1/2 to two handfulls of food per serving. Over time gradually reduce the amount of food at each meal and you will see a difference. You would be surprised how much calories you would save if you left a few bites of food left on your plate. Also drink a 8 once glass of water before you begin your meals and it will make you fill fuller.

what have people scored with a dp21
Quentin Jarrell replied to splmark's topic in Incriminator Audio
I have a customer with a 21 in a 10 foot box 160 inches of port tuned to 40 hz on a Kicker zx2500.1 for over a month and has not had a problem. And he is 16 years old so I know he isn't taking it easy. Also have two different other customers with DP 12's with 2000 watts rms and have had no problems. I am not saying it is true for every woofer but the DPs can handle more than 1500watts rms, from my experiences that is. -
what do yall think about this new box?

Alternator trouble
Quentin Jarrell replied to fritosaregood's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I completely looked over the fact you have an aftermarket alternator. If the belt is slipping you will be able to see black rubber residue around the alternator pully. If not, I would re-install the factory alternator and see if the problem persists. That is if the factory alternator was in good shape to begin with. -
if you have accessories(radio, lights, ect.|) in the vehicle on while just the key is turned to accessory your voltage might drop to 11.5-12 volts. But if nothing in the vehicle is on and you turn the key to the on position your voltage should be close to 12.6 volts. Also try a DMM at the wires going to your stinger volt gauge and see if they are the same it could be a possibiltiy the gauge is off a little.

Alternator trouble

Do you have extra batteries in your system. Like the others said the ecu is more than likely not seeing enough current draw keeping the alternator off until you draw more current. This is the reason Ohio recoments piggy-backing factory turn on wires, on a dual alternator setup when utilizing the factory alternator. So that their aftermarkets will come on only when the factory does. Also, your voltage should not be below 12 volts when the car is off. It should be very close to 12.6 on a good battery. -
I have a s10 blazer gutted waiting on six 21" wardens. I can't wait to knock out the windshield, LOL

the re's are coming out as soon as Nick figures out how he is going to ship the Wardens. I tried to get his prototype from him but he needed it for SBN. If I have to take a little trip to Alabama myself it'll have a 21 in the trunk by the end of next month. Still won't be "full" Kicker. O well. I liked my Team Mates 21"s Which 21's? Death Penalty D1's Had good numbers for 2 hours break in time The DP's are awsome subs but the 21's take hella time to break in. The wardens should be retarded loud. I told Nick I need some asap. From my understanding he is having shipping issues on the magnets because of their magnet fields are so strong they have a possibility of destroying other magnet sensitive products like computers and such.

he's coming to the shop this weekend I'll get some pixs, the video is real dark so it is hard to tell but the headliner is wrapped in black suede with a full length consoule molded to the roof line

It's a pretty nice car. It's a school project. The owner is redoing the entire car, I think the only thing to finish it (besides my work) is a new k-member and a new suspension. It's got a pretty beefy motor in it to.

We tested it out on a Kicker 1200 watt amp with an older Termlab and she did 142 at the rear view. Hopefully it'll do 50's with 4000 watts after the subs break in. We will get some videos up when we test the system before wrapping everything in suede.

I'll have some more updated pixs tonight
