Audio Technix Deadener- First EVER install! Good stuff!
Quentin Jarrell replied to twistedchild420's topic in Videos
Assuming they are not using the metric system being meter is the base measurement for length which would make it 60 millimeters, or .060 of a meter. I doubt it's over two inches thick . So being the inch is the american standard for lenght, one mill or milli-inch is .001". So 60 mill would be .060 of an inch. Or .0025" less than 1/16 of an inch. -

60 mil thick? Ok so it's .06 of an inch or less than 1/16 of an inch thick how is that special? -
That guy had a "EF EYE" btl, which takes a little more power to get moving

If everyone knew how much mark up is on the food Walmart imports from china and Mexico everyone would grow their own food.

after calculating net volume after port and sub displacement, using 3 6" ports, you will end up with about 3 cubic feet per sub. Or 2 cubic feet per port. If you use that much port area each port will need to be about 33" long to tune to 32 hertz

minimum port diameter by Richard Small, the guy where they got the "s" from in T/S parameters dv=39.37(FB x VD)^.5 dv= diameter of port in inches FB= enclosure tuning frequency VD= volume displaced by woofer(incubic meters) to calculate VD VD= sd(in square meters) x xmax(peak to peak in meters)

The inlays wont be attached untill it's routed and wrapped in carpet but it should give you an idea of what it'll look like

This needs to be put on a t-shirt

They will be offered in 8, 10, 12, 15, 18, and 21 versions. Both the port and baffle will be inlayed in suede.

ALL ENCLOSURE VOLUMES ARE NET VOLUMES. PORT VOLUME AND AVERAGE SUB DISPLACEMENT HAVE BEEN ACCOUNTED FOR. This series should work well for people with narrow trunks. Will be offered in 8, 10, 12, and 15 inch sizes. The dual 10 enclosure is 2.5 cubes net, after port and average sub displacement, tuned to 32 hertz. 24.5" wide x 12.5" tall x 26.5" deep

1200 rms on a type r ? Are you sure it's 1200 watts? A five inch port is no where near the realm of not enough port for a type r. It would only be around 6.5 inches long if it is tuned to 46 hertz. Is it around 6" long or longer.

This should be a happy medium for anyone looking for a ported enclosure for two 12's specs are as follows. 3.6 cubic feet net. (taking in consideration for two typical high end 12's) 54.24" of port tuned to 32 hertz 38" wide x 16" tall x 18.75" deep Enclosure will come with two heavy duty terminal cups, high nap charcoal carpet, heavy gauge speaker wire, a new technique I am using to add color to the port and baffle, and most importantly adequate packaging to insure no damage will occure during shipment. Once I get all my jigs built lead time will be 5-7 business days from payment. $275 plus shipping. My zip code is 70437. For example shipping to Chicago through Fedex would be 3 days for $75 And I will have more sub options in the near future.
-
If using 3/4 inch mdf I get 28 x 15.5 x 12.5 = 3.139 cubic feet internal minus port and sub = 1.8 to 2 cubes net. I would go ported with the 12

You can fit four 12's under the seat sealed if you are willing to do a little modification. If interested I'll post the steps here for you. It does involves a little cutting.
-
It's not complicated just follow the steps. If you can make a flushed ring you can do that.

Jasper jigs are designed for 1/4" bits. Go buy the spiral upcut bit. It is worth it weights in gold compared to standard straight cut bits. we're both wrong, The m300 which is the one I have uses a 1/2. The rest of the models use a 1/4. So OP make sure which jig u have.
-
If you are using a Jasper jig they are set up to work with a 1/2 bit. Your 3/8 bit is 2/16 smaller in diameter so your cutout will be 1/16 of an inch smaller than normal.

single 12 enclosure with blue inlay

This enclosure, a single 12, runs 235 plus shipping. This box is going to Chicago for example and was $260 total. It can be inlayed with any color I have pinned to my forum. And wrapped in any of the appromimately 10 different carpet colors I offer. I will however not wrap using cheap trunk liner. That would devalue my art.... LOL.
