Drivers for this fall "start saving ur pennies"
Quentin Jarrell replied to Quentin Jarrell's topic in Direct Sound Solutions
The trident and the next order of Ethos should be here the beginning of October. In expecting production samples in about 30 days to verify machining is to spec. Once approved a preorder will start on both drivers. -
Trying Ethos 15's in a sealed enclosure
Quentin Jarrell replied to Quentin Jarrell's topic in Direct Sound Solutions
Pretty stout for 2 sealed 15's. Enough to bounce the wipers off the windshield. I need to get my singer alt ordered. So far I've only tested with two ia 20.1's strapped with two diehard platinums on a 60 amp power supply. -
Something with the 4Sevens name would be my first guess. I'm grumpy that I can't find my Streamlight Strion light. I could have swore I had it on me when we went to KC to visit some folks over the weekend, but sure can't find it anywhere. http://www.wickedlasers.com/torch

Quentin Jarrell replied to Quentin Jarrell's topic in Direct Sound Solutions
I'll have it rigged up temperalily in a few days. In building a portable amp rack to house two 40.1's and two groups 35's. Also need an alternator. Keeping it modular so I can try out different set ups. -

I know you won't be able to handle all of the pure awesomeness that is the Magnetar at one time so I'm going to ease you into it. The sample SPL coils have be meticulously inspected, packed, and shipped to the build house for assembly. If you feel any small tremors in the coming weeks just keep calm its just the guys at the build house charging all of the magnets housed in the 96 POUND motor. For your viewing entertainment a few pics and maybe even a few videos down the road will be view-able. For now here are the coils: The itty bitty coil is the Ethos which is 4 layers has windings that are ~2 3/8 inches tall and uses 19 gauge alluminum wire and is rated for 1,800 watts RMS The other one is the Magnetar SPL coil!!!!!! 8 layers that has a winding height of almost 4 inches. The OD of this coil is nearly 3.5 inches. And uses 15 gauge wire. Yes the magnet wire used on this coil is bigger than the speaker wire running to most speakers.

profit margin or points of margin is the percentage of profit of the sale price for example 50 points of margin on a $100 MAP item is $50 which is of course 100 percent mark up.

No way. Unless they are seving $500 entries. Typical net profit in food service is 10-12%If that is your profit margin then you need to reconfigure your costs. J Percent net profit. Not points of margin. I have several family members in the business.
