thoughts on my sa-10 enclosure?
Quentin Jarrell replied to teoulennon's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
for each 90 degree bend you add half the width of the port to the length. since you have two bends you will add a total of 4 inches to your port length. -

even a 4 inch pipe is smaller than recommended per Small, one of the guys speaker parameters are named after. Even though you may not hear "noise" or chuffing from the port there will still be compression that will be hindering output. -

cut 2 4x4 inch squares or so with a hole in the center for the dowel to slide in. slide the squares on the dowel set the dowel in place in the box then push the squares up to the inside walls of the box with plenty of glue on all contacting wood.

thoughts on my sa-10 enclosure?

I'd just go with the 90 or rather 180 degree bends. All you need are 2 90's. If you just go with a straight pipe the end of the port will be very close to the sub and cause unloading issues. You always want the end of the port as far away from the sub as possible -
I thought it was a Panamax but it's only a little pre-panama, about 850 feet long.

Those panels have torque screws holding them down. Don't yank on them.

Would taped wire ends cause voltage drop?
Quentin Jarrell replied to Truconcept's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
It's very easy to check for a bad connection. Drive you car and let it get good and hot with your system on. Then use a meter to check voltage directly before and after the fuse holder. Do this at each and every connection point. If you have a bad connect you will see a voltage difference. Make sure your system is on while you check. -
A barge digging. The typical barge is about 200 feet long, 30 feet wide, and 15 feet deep and handles about 1,500-1,800 metric tons.

I've always just using exterior latex. You have to make sure it's stirred well or sometimes it won't dry completely. That may have been your problem. Or it was too cold.

Yep I get to play on the water all week long.

It's just a little 5 hold Panamax taking about 30 thousand metric tons of soybean meal and distillers dried grains.

It's like that around here. It runs about 200 bucks for 8 hours and you get an off duty cop to patrol the event. It's actually the law to have a cop on hand in my area for any event that's being held at a public place. Weather it's something like a sound off or even a wedding.

Building a custom sub question
Quentin Jarrell replied to kendall64's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
And you'll never find 10" frames and soft parts to fit with proper geometry. -
That's the dumbest thing I've heard today. I wonder how many lives that ruins every year. "Well you look like a great candidate for this job... oh wait, it says here you're a felon. Sorry." We just live in different worlds that's all. Where I'm from we are taught to say yes ma'am, no sir, and how to respect other people. Playing music music or any other thing like loud pipes on trucks or bikes especially in an area where people live is disrespect and its not tolerated.

It should be like Louisiana. If you are with in one mile of your home it is considered a felony and they bring your ass to jail.

Model both set up's in WinISd. It won't account for cabin gain or other variables but will give you a close idea of what would be louder.
