i am looking for the best amp for under $300, i am looking for an Sq system, I have a Fi Audio Q12, and custom ported box, tuned to 32hz, I have a 2007 honda accord V6 EX-L. I was looking at Memphis 16-PRD 1000.1, and people have said that this amp is pretty good, but i want some more input. thanks C
-
thanks for the quick reply I have heard very good things about both amps, but i really dont know if the sundown is THAT much better. Because truthly in my heart, i dont want to return the memphis.... BUT i will if the sundown is really that much better.
-
how much better do you think the Sundown SAE-1000D, is compared to the memphis 16-PRD 1000.1, because i can get them for about the same price, but the only thing is that i already bought the memphis today. So is the sundown that much better for me to return the memphis????
-
i agree, i dont think 600 will be enough, O.k i guess i will just get the memphis then. thanks

Zed Audio Minilith. I know I will get flamed for it only being 600 wrms but you do not need to send any driver its max rating. $210 I believe and Zed is the some of the best amps made. thats what some one else on a different forum recomended, how does everyone think of the zed minilith?
-
the reason i created this thread, is because someone on antoher forum (carstereo.com) said that memphis amps and sq dont mix, why would be say something like this? Also the same guy recomended this amp. http://www.zedaudio.com/Products/Minilith.htm

thanks i will do that pretty soon -
ok thanks, i guess i am going to get a sub pretty soon, and depending on how i like it then i will do stuff from there, and what is deadener.

I have a 2007 honda accord EX-L I have all stock speakers and power. ok i have about $820, to spend, and i was planning on getting a good sub setup, but after thinking maybe i should get a speaker set up first. So what should i do first get 2 good front speakers and an amp to power them. or go with the subwoofer and amp, then later if i dont like how it sounds upgrade the front component speakers?
-
ok this is all great, but the thing is my car is leased, so i am going to put 850 dollars worth of audio into a car that not even mine, thats why i was hesitant to change the front speakers if i ever got a sub. i am not going to buy the car when the lease is done.
-
well right now i only have 6 speakers, 2 tweeter, 2 front component speakers (on the front door) and two 6x9 on the back below the rear winshield. and an amp to power all of them. If i replace all these speakers then i wouldn't be able to get a subwoofer, because i dont have that much money. So i am still kinda confused on what to do, should i replace all of those speakers? because it sounds pretty clean as of now, but what i was woried about was if i got a subwoofer first then i wouldn't be able to hear the speakers, because the sub would be too strong.
-
really? so no sub or any thing, just 2 front speakers and 2 tweeters? that doesn't seem like it would fit my needs at all. because right now ALL my bass comes from my back stage
-
what an active front stage? and why would i want to get rid of the back speakers
-
I just got a Fi Q12, running 1000watts from a memphis 16-PRD, and i really need new front speakers, from the stocks. Since the bass is so powerful, i need something that will blend well with the sub. I have a 2007 honda accord V6 EX-L. I am looking for a set up that will sound fluent and smooth with the sub. I am looking to spend around $400 for an amp and a pair of speaker. Do i need anything else to get the front speakers working, (Rewiring, new cables, anything?). because i am on a budget and i really want my setup to sound good.
-
Ok, I am in the market for my first Amp, and Sub set up, I have done tons of research and have talked to the guys at carstereo.com. I have a 2007 honda accord V6 EX-L, I have all stock speakers and all stock power, but it already sounds pretty good for all stock. I want my set up to sound smooth and fluent, rather than just ridiculous bass. I think I and going to get Fi Q15" sub, and Memphis PRD 16 1000.1, If there is any other set up that would meet my needs for around the same price, please let me know. Fi Q15 Memphis 16 PRD 1000.1

2007 Honda accord V6 EX-L owners: where to route power wire?
conradl posted a topic in General Audio
I really have no clue where to get the power cable throughm this is going to be my first instalation, and this might be one of the most frustrating parts, because i dont even know where to start looking. Does any one know where to get the cables through? and i looked in the trunk and i couldn't find a good bolt to ground to, where is a good bolt? -
Looing for someone in Los angeles, to build my box, and install my amp

I live in west Los angeles (santa monica) and my local shop wants $200 just for instalation and $400 to build a ported box. They must be out of their f**king minds. So if anybody lives in los angeles and can build me a box and install my sub and amp, please post. We can discuss Rates and fee's later. This is a good way to earn some extra cash, I will pay for all the supplies and materials+ extra money for labor (we can discuss how much in private via messaging) thanks C -

I was talking around on another forum and i said I was going to get a premade box for my sub, and they thought it was the worst thing i could do for my system, Why are premade boxes so bad if they are the exact Cu. Ft i need? -

sorry but september is a little far away, plus worst comes to worst, my brother can help me, )he is very good at these types of things) he gets home in august -
No, because I am only 16, and my parents dont want to own the car, then have to sell it, so we are just going to give it back in 36 months, but if it doesn't take and rewiring or drilling to replace the front speakers then I will definatly keep it in mind.

I am going to use a memphis 16 PRD 1000.1 amp to power a Fi Q12, I really want this sytem to sound nice so how would this amp work? If there are any better for the same price range please let me know. thanks C memphis Prd 1000.1

I am now in the market for an amp that goes great with the Q12 I want a mainly Sq system, but still with some hard bass to enchance the sound, I am using all stock speakers and power, I have a 2007 honda accord v6 EX-L, I have been looking at the Memphis 16-1000.1 , but if there is another amp the will suite this sub MUCH better for +/- $75, please let me know? I have heard that the memphis is a a very good and solid amp, but I want to see what else in on the market. thanks C
-
yea, probally, but the only reason that i am hesitant is because the car is leased, then what do I do when I have $1000 of audio equipment and i have to give the car back to honda? then i have to re-install the stock speakers back in. also there cant be ANY DAMAGE to the car, and it all has to be back in the original state.
