you'll be just fine with that amp... it will do the Mag quite nicely. just set your gains properly. besides to get the full power out of that amp it needs 14.4v so the birthsheet that says 1400 watts or whatever is hard to get. So with properly set gains you should yeild about 1000 watts or so which is quite nice for the mag.

I am sure there are going to be alot of happy people this week as I was today when I got home and opened my door and there was the big brown box I have anxiously awaited. And let me tell you this thing is gorgeous!!! I really love the chrome job on it. Can't wait till the morning to get it in and running. THANKS NICK!!!

Ok, so yes I was one of the lucky ones to demo the prototype of this new Mag. And I "kinda" knew what to expect, though the proto 15 had some chrome problems leaking into the pole causing non 100% performance. So I did know how much better to expect from the production driver. So it came in wed. and I put it in thursday. I just completely swapped it out with my other Mag (previous version) same box, same amp, same amp settings, xover settings, same everything except the new driver. So I let it break in for 2 days on my drives to work (45 min one way). Didn't turn it up past 20, out of 35, just to warm her up and all. just some good ol Panic to break her in. (schools is real good at dropping some bombs to breeak it in right). Then today was the first day I really put it to the Mag. and yet I didn't even give it all I got, still staying pretty conservative (sub level at 8 out of 15, volume not higher than 24 out of 35 yet) and DAMN am I impressed as to what this thing can do already. as far as SPL: with nothing changed YES this driver gets noticably louder than the previous Mags. I can really say that it is moving some windows and chest walls more than my other mag, I knew it would be more but I didn't expect this much more. as for SQ and PERFORMANCE: The sound quality of the new Mag is levels above the previous version, and I was impressed with its sq too. But the new Mag (what v.4???) really has SQ to the extreme. It handles the double kick drum better than any sub I have heard. And as everyone has noted this thing gets low, lower, lower, and even lower than you could ever imagine. where the old mag got low then left off, the new one gets lower and even lower with ease. I read all about it and experienced it with the proto some, but then once I got to it today I REALLY noticed how much lower it gets and how much more responsive it gets. The new mag produces all the notes with ease. When rolling from a real low beat to extreme fast it does it with no problem. OVERALL: A DAMN FINE PURCHASE AND UPGRADE!!!! Nick and everyone really put their work into this sub and it shows. The improvements over what was already a kick ass sub are awesome. The SQ got better, the SPL got better, the low end REALLY got better, and yet all this without changing ANYTHING on my system except swapping out the drivers. sorry this is kinda long, I just really wanted to get everything covered. My only problem is now, I think I really want to add a second 15, why I am not sure it defenatly is not neccasary but damn I am tempted to see what would happen other than me going deaf and my bumper falling off. THANKS NICK and STEREO INTEGRITY!!!!

I do agree that quality RCA's and speaker cable are a must. But what is good for you is what matters. I have some Stinger Bullet series RCA's that ran me about $50 and I am happy with them. however I should have gone for the dream series.

This is a STEREO INTEGRITY forum.... please keep things on topic here. j/k... how much did they run you, got a link for them????

mine didn't come in foam.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> uhhh....that's impossible. Every driver shipped out is packaged in blue foam on top and on bottom of the driver. If yours didn't have foam you would have a messed up motor. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> oh wait, yeah, I am an idiot....

mine didn't come in foam....

No Goliath??? if you are still doing 2 12s, the XX 3200 watts will be plenty.
-
ancestors.... the SI logo could be a little bigger imo. but that doesn't bother me.
-
how can i get a sticker??
-
and this would go in.... as I drool thinking of 3
-
if I get one first I will have to feel special.... hahaha
-
as in plural??? damn, I was debating on 2 15s myself but that would mean stepping up to a Orion 2500D and not using my PC2350, which I love. who knows it may happen soon. especially if HCCAfan still has them for sale for a good price.

SWEET! I like hearing that.
-
should have it installed tomorow, going to use the same box as my current mag is in for a couple weeks till I get time to build another one. This time I need to build a amp rack/floor to go along with it. I will let everyone know how it performs after installing it and playing with it a couple days.

going to paypal you tonight. I would like a small silver one please....

these pics don't do it justice. especially the chrome job. but what the heck its almost against the law to post without pics.
-
how much? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> x2

I don't need one that big, but thanks for the offer.

JL doesn't carry a no questions asked warranty with their stuff. Hell they just recone it if damaged in a year.
-
I can already hear their responses now "man that is a great sub but it just doesn't sound or get as loud as a W7" yeah right, like any JL dealer will ever admit to another sub being superior. still interested to hear what they think.
-
what type of equipment do they normaly work with?
-
any install progress on it yet???
-
MINE IS SHIPPED AND ON ITS WAY!!!!!! WOOOOHOOOOO!!!!
