while i've never built for trucks, i can tell you some info i've learned from some fellow world record holder friends of mine. You, if you can, fire the sub UP on driver side and port to the side firing to the passenger side. For a 15, make the depth and height of the box 17-19" and the length long enough to get your desired volume. When porting to the side, passenger side, you can run the port up to about 3-5" away from the side of the truck! So keep that port as external as possible. the more external it is, the better.

hehe.. yes it is.

u buy form tubes for straight ports only.. And sonotube is a brand. Form tube is what you are using

looks like your life is going to be boring from here on out because any person with some sense would know there is nothing left to contribute to your trolling.. yet you wait.. lol, can't do it here.. the forum as a whole isn't gullible to your childish games. Any person with common sense would contact the company directly if they truly wanted to know something rather than beat around the bush. That's why many companies frown upon customers who blow things out of proportion when something may not be right with their product once it's delivered by posting extremist comments on forums before the company even knows what's going on. From what i gathered of this thread is.. I'll steer clear of your name in threads as I get more positive information from the username Google on here. Might want to take this as a wake-up call because if you keep acting childish in places other than this forum, your car audio hobby will be all to yourself and no one will want any part of it if you're involved.

Here is those gut pics of the OPTI500X2 you guys kept raving about-

And a third thing to add- I have MORE VOLUME than expected!!! I was expecting ~27cuft Gross and ~19cuft NET... I have 33cuft GROSS and about ~27cuft NET Woohoo!
-
I forgot to add.. There is VERY little wood mass in this baffle to hold 200lbs of speaker on.. It will need to be reinforced with 2x4 and steel from the inside to support the weight.. Something unexpected but mandatory.

It's official... HISTORY IN THE MAKING! It has just been confirmed that 4 18s WILL fit in the scion tC. This will be the first wall to ever be built with 4 18s in a scion tC AND the first wall to ever fit 4 18s in a 2door hatchback that I know of. The subs were test fitted and the baffles have been test fitted inside the wall. Everything is a GO! The baffles will be attached together tonight and prepare to work on the roof next... I'm getting there! Pics will come later on this week.

do we get to see this on judge judy?

the next thing to come out will be a BB-1 where you pay $160 to set your bass boost.
-
one other thing- is ur remote gain controller plugged in? If it is, make sure it's turned ALL the way up so it is equal to the gain setting on the amp. Also, i always leave my alpine sub out to +15, any lower is just losing preout voltage.

My Front stage amps came in Friday. Here is my tweeter amp- The tweeter amp does not do 2000w, lol. After careful reading, this amp is rated at 100w x 2 @4ohm. So, still a little beefy for it's potential but doable in my application. My other amp that is going to power my 4 8s- This amp will power my 8s with 750w x 2 of power.

i'll have the beer waitin for you 5 weeks from today,

Chart i have here states in open air wiring (not tunneling it through conduit), copper 1/0 can handle up to 290A but at 221F... That's ridiculous hot... Car audio wants least voltage drop. Most of us are aware of what a cable can handle.. but the lowest voltage drop is always best. According to calculator, single 4/0 cable run at 200A (when hot and maxed out) will exhibit a 0.3v drop in the rear. This is only when maxing alternator out... At that point.. you will be well into the 13.0-13.6v range already. So, yes, single 4/0 run for each is fine.

Well, i registered an account with them on their website and they have a progress section so you can keep up with what's going on.

Just ordered my 270XP DC alt. Hopefully, I get it anodized in Blue. ETA - ~3 weeks before shipping out. Possibly 4 weeks... Then a week to ship, lol.. So, hopefully it gets here literally the day before the show, hehe.

I received my amps after the preorder. I got the first batch of amps that was sold after the preorder. I've had all my equipment for a LONG time now.

For those that have no idea.. I'm LITERALLY trying to get this done by slamology which is mid june... I forsee at least the bass portion of it working by then... hopefully more than that.. I am being held up by somethings out of my control that i need to finish this build but i am still 5.5 weeks out before the show so i'm not desperate yet.

I have multiple jobs and i already only get 3-4hrs sleep per night, only get full sleep during weekend so i'm doing the best i can. Besides that.. like i tell other people.. this isn't a NORMAL build... It's imperative that everything is precisely cut, tested, tweaked, etc before installing... Must use the least weight but the most bracing to counter flex issues... Many things i take pics of takes lots of planning just to get there.. When the entire build is done, i will have only 0.25" of room from floor to top of hatch door before the frame of the car grounds out all my fuse blocks.. That's not safe so i gotta build or do something to prevent that. The baffle has only 3/16" of vertical play and the baffle has multiple variable heights in it when it's time to put it in so everything has to be cut perfect. If the baffle fails, so does the mounting of all planned subs.. and the roof is a key piece to getting the baffle to fit properly.. the roof is coming next to build and work on.. I have already went through 1 gal of resinhardener just for bonding.. there is a lot that you do not see.. in person.. the panels are ROCK solid... Even those that are not fully attached on all 4 sides There is lots of bracing that was done long ago when this build started several months ago.

Changed my front stage amps to following- Lanzar Opti500x2 and Lanzar MXA234. The opti will power 4 8s (1500w amp) and the MXA will power 1 set of tweeters. I got both of my processors in, just haven't taken pics of them yet. Here is more progress- This piece may make no sense right now.. but it's precisely drilled n tapped in certain places all over that aluminum to anchor the rear of the wall.. EVERYWHERE... It will be quite a while before you see that pic as that will be the end of the wall but here is the pic-

Please help confirm before I waste $$

Yes, these cables and terminals are strictly following the AWGNEC guidelines about the diameter it should be to be called what it is. Unlike Car audio cable, this form of cable, like welding cable meets the standard the way it suppose to be. This cable will look smaller than what you would expect a cable to look like if comparing to something smaller like 1/0, for example. If you have used Knu Kolossus before, Kolossus cable IS 2/0 cable so there is no difference between the cables except, SGX cable is a LOT cheaper in price. -
News just showed that Dominos is now offering Gluten free crust for pizza size 10". It's $3 more than normal crust but at least a major chain is offering. Downside- They are preparing it in and on the same platform as the rest of the pizzas. This means if they are busy or do not thoroughly clean counter off, we risk cross-contamination. Depending on your symptoms one may receive on consuming the wrong thing, the risk is up to you. Thought i'd share. I know Subway in Texas only is testing gluten free bread.... News said only 1% of US population has Celiac... For those that have Celiac, whoever did that research is full of SHIT! I read an article that said a theory states that 1 in every 6 people in the US have it but are not diagnosed yet.. Theory also says all these chemicals in\on foods may be causing it but there is no direct solution for Celiac to be activated in a body.. That means Celiac can be triggered by more than one thing.. Anyways... though i'd share. I know any info about progressing is better than none.

Make sure you wear sunglasses.. or moonglasses, lol. It's the brightest the moon will be this year, tonight. I tried to take a pic on my phone but it was so bright the lens was clipping the white WAY too much.
