if it were between those two, the rockford amp. I HATE powerbass amps... i didnt like it's performance when i got to fool around with a 3kw amp. -

many mainstream companies state something like if you install it, it's covered by 1 yr but if an authorized shop installs it, it's 3 yr warranty. Companies that we deal with online don't have that type of warranty policy.

I've read on the internet that spray painting a port hole is a good idea? I don't know what it's being referenced to as a good idea but don't go researching itty bitty things that is geared toward competitors. When it comes time for u to build it, it's easy and someone here or I can tell u the specs to build it to.

Wiring for subs and speakers?
shizzzon replied to joe_prince's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I dont use wiring kits so i'll just tell u what size wire to use 16awg wire for your mids\highs is plenty of wire! 12awg wire is plenty for your subwoofers 1/0 cable for your AQ2200d 4awg for your Alpine PDX-4.100 Fuse within 18" of AQ amp with fuse of 150-200A. Fuse within 18" of Alpine amp with it's onboard fuse rating. Because the Alpine amp pulls a lot less current, it may be wise to use an AGU or mini-anl fuse holder for this amp to save on money for both the fuse holder and the cost of fuse if it ever pops. -
Common list of recommended tools and alternatives- Table saw (or circular saw with a straight edge clamped next to it for straight cutting) Router (this is for cutting perfect circles for sub cut out. Or... a jigsaw, not as perfect but definitely close enough) Compass (or make your own compass out of spare wood, nail and pencil) Drill Titebond II for your wood glue Clamps (or other heavy weights to hold down pieces during curing time) That's basically it.

yea.. uh.. i may not be using THOSE bags... We been doin some calculations... i might shrink the concrete usage some but it looks like EACH of the 6 walls is gonna weigh around 400lbs a piece! That's a little overkill so i may modify the calculation because i dont wanna add another 3000lbs to this car... even with airride.. Car wouldnt even move, lol.
-
i'd highly recommend doing a normal ported enclosure or 4th order for daily use. 6th orders are extremely hard to tune properly and are not as transient as the other designs i just mentioned. Ask fi and make sure SSDs even work well in 4th order first before trying it. 4th orders don't require too too much more room compared to a ported box.

just got back from buyin some basic stuff.. First thing i gotta do is fill my side panels with 2x4s and expanding foam so i can get both side of the car rock hard. Picked up 10 2x4s, gallon of glue and i still got 5 bags of concrete left over from long time ago, hehe. I'll be postin up pics of the sides once i get em solid.

hey Gary, they may not this year but next year, plead with em about lettin X competitors run in DB5. There was a request about that earlier in the year but it pretty much died because there are very few X competitors.

Some guy i ran into today named Dean who used to run in MECA told me i can't beat Bola... as if it's impossible... He tried to convince me that it would be impossible... Now.. i dont know what i'm capable of doin but i dont look at him as being a god, lol. It'll come down to it.. somebody will beat him... it's just a matter of time... Luckily, i'm still in the bracing stages. I got all the time in the world to get ready. I'm tell u guys this. Bola can and will do a 160 and back it up if necessary. I have never personally got close... But i've got a goal, and damnit. i want to over-achieve it! I'm going for xtreme bracing and building.. Custom built Electrical system, pure custom built subs all the way down to the coil... A wall that will weigh close to half a ton.... Some welding will be involved.... Some new pressure designs will be tested... As long as the windshield stays in tact... I'm game! I just got told the wrong thing.. Don't push my limits

Yep, the android has an 8 MP camera on it, pretty good!

he ran in m5 earlier this year just to try and win a $500 cash bonus at a show.. so he ran in m5 so his fuses wouldnt pop. One of his buds told me he is still in M4... Now, if he decides to move out of my class... Oh well... i still want that goal of and over your feat at the headrest. I been talkin to my buddy... mdf... he sucks. His cousin, oak, is gonna be helpin me out on some walls but cousin oak alone cant support my goals... His uncle, concrete, will be commin over along with some friends he calls his 2x4s and we gonna have a party. Oh... and the 3500s are rated at 6500w @18v.. I'll be runnin more voltage than that.
-
lmao! DC Soundlab will be. Custom coil Configuration Custom coil winding connection Custom terminals Multi Leads and some other options i'm lookin into... Custom coated leads to prevent melting Custom motor
-
Bola is a guy that can do a 160 on just 2 15s..

What's involved in diagnosing and repairing amplifiers?
shizzzon replied to mrbojang's topic in Advanced Discussion
A DB-r is involved too. Without that, it's very hard -
Ok.. XS Power was only founded a few years ago and will still kick IEEMA's ass
-
Well regardless of all that, you are still gonna need an extra battery and a high output alternator
-
Yes, if u havent factored in port area yet... then it sounds like 12 would be the way to go but the 15 in 3 cubes is fine.
-
hmm, it's only 2hrs away, that's nothin. When should i go Sat and Sun or just Saturday?
