this is going is truckaudiomans new F-150, he is in the hospital so I am trying to help him out....turns out he had some unseen injuries and may have to undergo a surgery or two, sooooooo I am trying to hook my boy up and get him situated before he comes out. I think his wife may be droppin off his laptop soon, so he may be getting on and off of here....ANYWHO, yeah, it is going in a F150 Supercrew.

I heard some great things about both the AA and DD subs....I just cant find seem to find either one of those....and what ever happened to the 8" Sundown, I thought they made some (or am I just smokin crack?). PS....no budget

yeah, i will probably end up going with that one and just dropping the gains on the amp a little until i can fully set the gains to avoid blowing them....at this point i am thinking of trying to build my own box and trying to make it ported, not to sure yet.

I may be totally blind, but I could not find this stupid spec anywhere....what is the mounting depth of the 10" Icon. I have .6 cubes per sub and a mounting depth between 5.25" and 5 7/8". thanks.

Mathman....kinda obvious. Have an addiction to math and numbers....working on my doctorates now. do odd mathematical jobs for various insurance companies, the military, and the oh so fun census bureau.....occasionally do work for other companies to review statistical basis variances.

I agree...you really should think long and hard before doing a blowthrough...i had one in my ranger and are about to have one more in my f150, but I have always been happy with the outcome....but that is just me. There are consequences to it, the main one being the trade in value or resell value of the truck. But again, I have always loved my blowthroughs and will be doing yet another one in another couple months once I am caught up from paying off college loans.

I love some good consipiracies, esp when it comes to stuff like numerology. Hence, why i went to college for math and studied it pretty well. they were some crazy "coincidences" if you follow them, esp among the presidential assassinations of Lincoln and Kennedy and all that crap. Also there are a lot of name similarities and junk. As for the whole Freemasons helping each other out, I can neither say that is or is not true

LOL! Are you really a member of a branch? Which one? I am a long time member as well.....whole family has been as far back as I have been able to date.

I think I would rather die myself.... But seriously, some people are very set on their religious ideas, so bringing up things that may cause a negative impact upon that religion is probably a big no no. So, I had some extra 6.5s sitting in my garage and was hopin i could use those in my truck, turns out i would have to do some pretty major work to get them in there due to the way the door is built, so i think i will just go with some of the same size, some 6x8's....does anyone know any good 6x8s before i end up going with some RF power serier component 6x8s? thanks

At the moment I am really thinking of running 2 12" BTLs. I know this may be a dumb question, but hey, I am new and gotta learn somehow....anyway, how do the 12" BTLs sound. I have heard some subs where the 12" would sound horrible (imo) but the 15 sounded great....both in the optimum setup and tuning. Just like some subs aren't really recommended for certain types of enclosures or applications....is it ok to use 2 12" BTLs for a daily driver or would it be more beneficial to use the BLs due to application types.

I love the new fi shirts, but am curious....will ya'll be releasing anything similar to a shop shirt like the older style Fi shirts i beleive ya'll had some time ago......or possibly a hoodie?

to audio, pretty much, right now pushin t1s....to customizing vehicles to the point of throwing tons of electrical upgrades into it, not so much new to the game. ....i might just get lazy and cheap in the end and go with the bls...i could do a lot of extra customizin with the money saved from the amps and extra electrical upgrades. i imagine 2 bls off of 3k would destroy the t1s....or t2s my boy is trying to pawn off on me.

pretty much....60% rap/hip hop, 20% classic rock, 20% heavy metal.

I know little about car audio, but I too have heard tons of Type Rs and have yet to be impressed....but anyway, yes, in the correct installation the BL should hopefully eat the JL....may not have quite as much SQ (from what I hear) but be way louder. note though: all the type Rs have been in some circuit city prefab boxes, so that may have some to do with it.

Oh, so your thinking of the same type of setup I am...if you come up with a decent box design you gotta let me check it out. that would be cool.

Ok, I pretty much know nothing when it comes to car audio. I had a little ford ranger which died on me, so instead of staying in that realm i went out a got me a bigger truck. i think i am gonna do a blowthrough in this truck. I am not sure what would be best though. I listen to everything, about 50 50 rap/rock. I am not sure what would work best, something like 4 12" Q's sealed or 2 15" BLs ported. Also, I have some good word working skill, but have no clue how to build and tune a box if I go ported...some help would be fantastic. rough dimensions i wanna use in the bed of the truck...19" height, 48-49" wide, and 30" of depth. thanks for helpin a noob out... ps-->to give you an idea of what i am used to and upgrading from--->2 RF P3's in the RF prefab box.
