A buddy of mine came to me the other day with 2 15s and wanted me to make a box that would fit in a 1999 Buick Park Ave. With a Height of only 14 inches its gowning to be a Wedge Enclosure. My ? is should i port the box in the front or in the back? The back seats do not fold down but in between the seats the arm rest folds down and gives a quick access hole that is 8 1/2 x 7 1/2 to the trunk. I was thinking of putting the port right there but im not shore. pic of trunk access hole http://memimage.cardomain.com/member_image...9377_5_full.jpg

I tried all the big name auto stores around and a few small time places and all i could find were the red tails for 280$ a piece, and she loves the car to death + she just had a baby girl on the 3rd so im trying to help her out any way i can. It was a good thing that this car had an alarm on it other wise she wouldn't of known that it happened till the next morning (report said 3:41 AM). pucking drunk drivers.

I loved the hell out of my 86 K5 Blazer (one of the big ones) V8 power, huge alt. and 8 15' CV Strokers, Dont get me wrong i like the imports but theres nothing like good old US power. Had to pull the cap off and and put a completely new seal on and got rid of the rear side windows. wish i still had pics of it.

Are you going for spl or daily driving, if spl then about 40-47hz sounds good but if daily you want to go around 30-35hz 30hz=about 130 in3 45hz=about 255 in3
-
I agree With ///M5, one box for the too MJ-18s would sound a lot better, each driver is about .25 cf, what are the measurements of the box? I have put 2 MJ-18s in a 2003 Trail Blazer with a box that was around 10.0cf tuned to 32hz, and about 800 watts going to each one and they sounded amazing.

Home or Auto, if home about how many sq feet of the room, if Auto what kind of car/truck/suv and year? Is your box size 9.36cf or 4.5cf?

Monoblock vs Class D Amps
turtles1118 replied to turtles1118's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Class D is an amplifier topology where the output devices are switched between full on and off states, hence why some people (incorrectly) refer to them as "digital" amps. Ok, that was all i needed to know, thanks to all -
