That's no good. Careful cause it's almost hot enough outside where you won't need the match.

Tridents 3 more HD8000's 4 Iraggy 240's Sealed sunroof Stripper pole Could be an 165 by SBN. It's so funny that I reflect on our conversation of you saying your were done after the build was done and you got your 160. Umm, yah so that was in the past. Fuck the past amirite?

The XS28 lack anything but high end. I'll echo what M5 said and definitely do more tweaking with what you have. I had a set in my older model suburban in the factory location which was cross axis pointed towards the ceiling/driver direction from the passenger door and towards the celing/driver direction from the drivers door and the sound was actually piercing on the high end and it was something I had to eq out. Funny thing is I was also using a PPi 900.4. I believe I had it set to full and was doing all of the changes from the prs-80 at the time though.

The exact reason I grew mine out! I look like a damn hippy now. Lol

Yah, he's letting people smoke in it now too.

DSS Tridents and Twisted Sounds S-10. Road to 166dBs
nadcicle replied to stevemead08's topic in Build Logs
I've done this myself, but you always have to realize that these are part of "good with bad" you're representing with a giant sticker on the back and a win is a win no matter which way you look at it. On one hand you're called a sandbagger, but on the other hand you're saving any possibility of blowing anything on a chance of running a 30 second full throttle music round. Publicity is publicity and it still puts DSS out there!- 938 replies

You load differently in a setup like this. You actually meter at the passenger side.
-
MECA i'd say a 58.6 and while fused a 57.4. It ain't easy at the head.
-
No issues with leads, but I lack the power that all 3 of the larger builds have. Mine look sparkly new.

My guess is outlaw?

Funny thing about how that works. 4th's seem to be loudest in the weirdest spots for port scores. Like where waves stand the most in a corner somewhere. In your case like right behind the loading wall or something stupid instead of the usual all the way back in a corner somewhere. The few ky shows I went to in the past all yielded similar results with a loud street setup always winning because they unload in the mic in a more concentrated spot. You're louder than the 12 15" guy when he was doing his port score. I think his was like a 66.5 or so.
-
Interesting, looks like you used the same frequency or at least within 1hz on all tests. The frequency should change depending on mic placement as well, so it sounds like these are full potential either way we look at it.

You might need something a bit longer than 1.5ft. Some people complain of them being stiff, but they do just fine for rca's http://www.monoprice.com/Search/Index?keyword=rca+premium
-
Short answer is no. Rca's all do the same job. It's when you introduce noise is when some will do better than others with shielding. If you take care to run a 5 dollar pair it can do just as well as a 100 dollar pair.

Just needed to show a few pics of some recent recones that were done on the Ethos. I'll let Quentin give any details if he chooses to, but I put a slight personal touch to them and feel that I'm pretty good at laying down a bead of glue here or there. Plus, I needed a reason to take pics with this LG G3. It has friggin laser aiming.

Couldn't agree more. Keep up the great work Quentin!

Lol that wasn't nothing. Maybe this time we can have a few beers somewhere. You need anything while in town I got you! Hey, take him up on it! I live close to him and I don't get that kind of hospitality. LMFAO j/k. we've shared a beer or 2. Although, we did talk about drinking a few times recently. I'll take him up on it. I'll buy the beer though. Around here we don't show favorites with any beer as long as it runs cold. -
Already done since taking pics. Senchez and I were having that exact discussion. I've personally never gotten close to them, but he swears he has so I went ahead and bent them since. Thanks!

Pfft, While brazilian amps love being around 11 - 12.5 volts. It takes a gazillion more amps for Korean amps to be able to hold up that kinda power lol. I personally am with Lee, I'd feel more comfortable undervolting Brazilian vs Korean any day, but i'd much more prefer to put more batteries to handle the load either way.

who makes these? Quentin Jarrell from this forum here. He is under Direct Sound solutions located here http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/forum/84-direct-sound-solutions/ His website is located here http://directsoundsolutions.com/

Respectable score for sure. Especially at the frequency you're tuned. Remember, Tommy K runs a single cab as well and you don't see that stopping him at all!
