I'm sorry sir, but your door speakers are .0013 of an inch to far out and you have to use rhinoceros skin to cover the exposed panels. We cannot allow you to compete in this class because riverdancing to folk music is prohibited in Wyoming, but we will allow George Thorogood to be played as loud as possible whilst raining during our SPL event. I laughed at this. Glad to have met you bro!

Bad battery or alt
nadcicle replied to Elrey7698's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I turn on the truck and the voltage is 14.9...it takes around 3-5 minutes to drop down to 12.9...if i turn on the ac and the dome lights it jumps to 14.9 volts in 2-3 minutes...fuse block melted ... This sounds exactly like something happened to me extremely recently. If I revved above 4k rpm the charge would pick back up a second and remain charging for a few then drop back down again to battery voltage. I believe the issue to be a bad regulator in the alternator. My new alternator does not have this issue at all -
Looks that way. Hopefully we will get some updates for this soon. If Sencheezy doesn't get a hold of our contact soon I will start blowing them up too lol.

Damn those are looking nice. We are definitely going to have to meet up so I can see and hear those in person. This time bring the meter so you can watch me smoke my 12's lol

Voltage Drop When The Car Comes 2 A Stop
nadcicle replied to Truconcept's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
LMAO! p.s- yea i took the fuses out to eliminate them as the possible cause of the drop All this means is you need to change out your alternator pulley to a smaller pulley for higher voltage at idle. My replacement HO alt has no issues whatsoever with idle voltage. I cold start at 15.4 and it works its way down to 14.4 - 14.6 and only goes below that if I let me music keep going while at a stop sign. I can put my foot on the gas and visually see that it comes right back up to 14.4-14.6 when I match rpm to alt output level. The lowest i see it drop is around 13.8 full tilt. I honestly would give the alternator more of a chance when you have a good load to it between 1200 to 1500 rpm because that is where HO alternators are measured. -
Voltage Drop When The Car Comes 2 A Stop
nadcicle replied to Truconcept's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
When you say " at the rear battery " what is your method of measurement? Do you have a meter ran all the way to your rear battery and a separate one running to your front battery or alternator at the same time? I am curious because I had two of the exact model stingers before that gave different voltages out of the box and needed to be calibrated before use. I just find it weird that you are dropping voltage without any draw. I am x2 on this being a bad battery in the back if it is only happening in the back. I would charge it fully then toss it back on there. The other thing I would check is the fuse in between the front and back battery. I have seen rattles and bumps cause these to come loose at the fuse or the connection. -
Lol and you thought alot longer!

2 amps for 2 subs?
nadcicle replied to spare69's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I personally wouldn't strap Hifonics amps on Optima batteries, but that's just me. Unless you have like 20 of em of course! -
Great deal on that xcon!
-
Not to be argumentative, but I've always went with sub back/ port back and thought it sounded best in trunks. However, if your seats fold down and you can manage a good box build then subs and port forward.

My guess is you already have plans on the enclosure. You lucky sob you!

Looking good I like it.

I bet a nice Q with a crescendo b2k would sound great for sure.

Much like most big name companies they have a few good amps that are true to their posted numbers. Like ricksi30 said.. what amp? On a side note I still have 1 of the old 1501D's I modded from over 10 years ago that is still going strong. -

Introducing the all new SSA Evil!
nadcicle replied to Mark LaFountain's topic in Sound Solutions Audio (SSA®)
Damn you swift! After I JUST told you about my ideas, there you go >.> Hey, at least I didn't say anything. I remember you having ideas about this still in proto stage. I for one want to see this. Good luck bro. -
That's where you are wrong. They do everything you want, my reasonings are alittle different. Trust me, people can't believe when I tell them no tweeters are in my truck right now. You need to hear some to understand I've heard them and understand that you guys need to listen to this man. I was surprised myself to hear them keeping up and sounding that good. I plan on doing 4 6.5's in my front and back along with 4 FT1's in each front door. Overkill I know, but I am thinking outside the box. You quoted someone using horns NOT supertweets. Ft1's are stupid without doing a multi-way front stage and if you think differently you have regrettably never heard a good sounding setup. Well, I've also regrettably never said I was copying him. I simply added a statement on what I planned on doing myself after making a statement on how his setup sounded currently. I don't doubt supertweets sound better at all. I am just saying don't say that horns sound like crap because this is what you've "heard" from other people until you hear them yourself. I apologize for any misleading information you may have gotten from that. I personally am not going for the end all SQ system with 4 18"s either though. I can agree that each serve their own purpose and would understand running both at separate times depending on the occasion. Ugh, backwards again. Supertweets = crap in a 2 way Horns = loud as hell and sound good in a 2 way Only purpose supertweets have is to curdle your ears. And no one EVER thought this was a conversation about SQ. Understood, not about sound quality between the two. I was always under the assumption that horns cross better anyways. So it was under my assumption they would sound better. I'm glad you clarified. Thanks!

nadcicle replied to Sencheezy's topic in Product Reviews
It's not the aim, I mentioned that highway traffic debre has chipped off some paint from the headlights so more light comes through that spot that's the size of a dollar coin. It's at the top right of the passenger headlight. :Doh:/> Ah, ok then. Fix it then! We can't have you riding around with dollar coins in your headlights. Damn man, we ain't ghetto. lol -

I'm glad you finally got these put in. I imagine the output is tremendous compared to stock. I figured you would be putting them in the same day when you sent me the pic lol. I told you I would have helped, but it seems that you were in a hurry. BTW, maybe im blind, but either your drivers side needs to come up a little or the passenger needs to come down so they match on the cutoff evenly against a wall.
