Selling or Trading my FI BTL N2 Fully Load 15's. They are D1 coils, still very stiff. One sub is in great condition, the other is the same except the basket was cracked during shipping but has been fixed with a JB weld. id use a DMM or something because you wannt them as close as possible....is it the same amp? if not i wouldnt even think about it...can you strap ur amps??

So im in the process of a new build. Ive had a Skar VVX15 and DC Lvl4 18. Def loved the DC more. ( just sold that ) but its so expensive for me to get multiples. For this new build i want to do either 15s or 18s for sake of its cheaper to get louder (meaning price of 1 18s is cheaper than 2 12s of equivalent specs) So my question is what kinda ideas you guys got! At least doing 2 subs. maybe 4 if i can afford. Not sure on Power ( currently have a SAZ1500v1 but wanna upgrade to 3-4k) I have a 99 jeep grand cherokee...willing to cpillar wall......GO! any questions just ask! thanks guys

Def not harsh, very informational actually. and max would be 40 wide. somewhere around 25 deep and 20 high....whats subs do you reccomend then?

I have a DC Level 4 18 m2 on the way and i want to make the box before ite gets here (cuz im so impatient) going in a 99 grand cherokee listen to all types of music but i do like playing down to like 27 hz or so powered by an american bass HD 3500 (1600rms) id like double baffles max dim are 40 wide 30 deep and 20 tall i think that about covers what is needed. any help would be awesome! thanks guys

tech it is realated cuz i cant test the "other things to play with" i need to try things such as different boxes and tunings and such because thatll give me a noticable difference. small things like box placement and puttings seats a certain way and slight song differences i cant hear the .1-.5 db change. . . . im sorry if im misreading responses but thats how i am perceiving them

right but without a TL and only 2 runs per comp and no local TL i cant test lol

I have a DC lvl 4 m2 18 d2 and an american bass hd 3500. bout 1200rms clean. the sub takes 1400 and its underrated. on dc's site they reccomend a 6 cube box. how to i know how much to compensate for the lesser power?

3 because the directions of torres says so lol. the top bottom and sides. 123. for an lport box. 2 would be a center vertical port. like 2 12's and i the middle it uses the top and bottom. (my bad on the box heigh. i think it is actually 17 total) but the length you told me to do 22.5 one length and 6.75 another. that would have made a 4 port int the back so i made one 20.5 and the other 8.75. when it shold have been (according to the pic you just posted) 20.5 and then 2" lol but hey. i rushed anyways. so whatever. noones perfect and its no big deal. new box today. 6.5 net cubes. 38hz, we'll see what the difference make lol

So like i said, tuning is only like 1hz off lol. not a big deal. the biggest thing which isnt necessarliy your fault. bevcause i didnt really mention i wanted net cubes of 6 ft. but the box is .75 smaller than inteneded. and because im under powering it, tech it should be 6net cubes, and even 6.5 to make it more efficient

i plugged the info into torres of my current box specs and its 31.15hz and 5.25 cubic feet (net) the error was the port length, vs physical port length, basically its longer than it shouldve but not to worry lol. new box is going to be 6.5 cubes tuned to 35hz

either way not a big deal. like you said it was a quick box which i agree. and i built it quick lol but im building a new one friday anyways so

question for everyone. how do you measure a port in a basic l shaped box?? i think the calc was off and my box s 5.8 net cubes, and 29.8 (30hz) tuning. so by going to like 6.5 net cubes and 35 tuning will that help my score by a db or to?

Because i'm always changing my mind and many other reasons. I'd really like to start getting into designing boxes. building them is just a matter of putting a cutsheet togther and building. but the designing part obviously is key. i have a mac just fyi so idk what programs to use but i dont know a thing about designing. tips and tricks? id like to know what program to use what major things to take into consid. what specs of the sub matter anything else you wanna suggest! lol
