Every setup I've seen with M3's in it. They love huge boxes. The one with the best output I've seen was a blazer with 2 M3's in a box probably 7-8 cubes, so around 4 cubes per. Tuned to 29. That's just my experiences though.
-
So 2.5 cubes net per sub with a tuning around 38-42? I've never done a wall so I'm learning the acoustics and such of it. I just want loud as hell and low for daily.
-
I agree it may be a little too large. But I'd rather have too much room than not enough, right. But on the power situation I highly doubt I would up it much if any. I know tons of people are running huge amounts of power on these but I figured 2500-300 tops for a daily beater, and occasional bassracer. But if I make the boxes smaller I may run more power as the handlind should increase some, my reasoning for a power around RMS was because the box was pretty large to be throwing 4000 per sub and stuff. Thanks for the advice.

Howdy, I've been in the planning stages on this for a while and I think I've got it figured out. I'm going for 4 x BTL 12's Fully loaded in this wall: The specs are like this: 19.69 cubes gross 16 cubes net (Subs and Ports removed) 4 cubes per sub Tuned to 32hz with 266.875 sq. in. of port I'd like to run dual 2 ohm BTL's and have each one off of a Orion HCCA-D5000 so roughly 2500 watts RMS per sub (10k total). I'm planning to run all Knu Konceptz 1/0 wire with multiple runs to a battery bank of 6 Kinetik HC2400's in the trunk and 2 200 amp alts. So my question is, do these specs look good for the subs and such?
-
Ok on your dual 1 option have a + from the amp to + of a coil then from that + to the + of the other coil. Do the same with the - Then check all gains and amplifier settings. If it checks out good then check the headunit settings. Just do everything 1 step at a time and test after each step until you find the problem.
-
You mean infinite baffle type. You want to use the trunk as the enclosure and just have a baffle to mount the sub on. Correct?

Ight thanks. i just started the thread on CA.com also so I'm sure I will get some responses. THANKS!!!

I am in need of someone to do some custom vinyl graphics for me. I need 2 Window Banners one Measuring 45 1/2" x 6" and one measuring 43 1/2" x 6". If you can do this let me know and we can get into further detail of what I want and such. Thanks!!!

140.9db with 1 15"BL is that pretty good??

In a daily tuned box a 140 is a good score for a single 15, especially out of the trunk with the seats up. I give you props!!! You can pick up a copy of the cd at www.soundoff.org I belive. -
I used Google Sketchup to draw it all out. I'm thinking flush mount amp and a plexi window with some neons, but I gotta think on it first. My biggest concern is do my specs look right?
-
I've came to this: 17h x 17d x 30w INTERNAL Actual box is 48 to take up all the room with a 1.5" thick wall inside at 30inches so the sub only sees 3.7 cubes of the box. Specs - 3.7 cubes net, port 17H x 3W x 30 3/8L tuning roughly 32hz So what do you guys think?
-
Well for now I'm going to stick with the 15. I got it for $40 BNIB, so I want to see what it can do. I can design it I just have troubles with ports. Like I don't know how much area because I want to move air and still sound good and length gets me. Any help?

I am getting ready to build a box for my MAW15 and I have no idea where to go with a design. The space I have to work with is 48"w x 21" h x 20" d. I'm removing my back seat and building a sort of half wall for it (all below window line). Can anyone help me?

I love this box. That cubby hole makes the box look shorter than it is. Great job on planning and execution. How do the SSA subs sound? Looks good in the Video.
