I see your from Johnson City,I used to go there to the mall all the time when I lived in Oak Ridge. Always nice to see people from TN posting. For sure. I've been here around 10 years now. We just bought a house in fall branch. We like it well enough. Where you at now?

I did a mock up and those dimensions look like gold to me. Thanks again bud.

Yes please! ALso the bottom measurement of 17 inches is a definate. It was hard to measure the top to make them perfectly straight up and down. Does that make sense? Basically if the top of box is going to lean out on the front because of my measurements, feel free to adjust. Also im considering putting some polyfill in to help a little. Thoughts?

The box will be a "wedge" design with the slant on the back side as to fit against my back seats. 45.5" wide 16" high 12" top panel 17" bottom panel Hopefully that makes sense im not sure how to label them or how to figure out how big the "slanted" panel should be. Just let me know if you need any other info. Thanks!

Will do. Hopefully ill have Alton helping me with a box in a bit. Thanks.

If his port is only 2 inches from the back of the box then his tuning and port area is focked. Sounds to me the port should be 5 inches from the back of the box if his port is 5x15. no?

Def check out Mechman, my durango idles low and i have no issues with the six pin setup -
Times 2. It is suprisingly cheap to buy panels at a junk yard. I got my door panels for like 10 bucks a piece and hacked the shit out of them. If I ever sell the vehicle i can throw the original speakers and panels on and am out only 20 bucks!

"Goin dowwwwn in a blaze of glory".... found this gem on facebook-- Did someone say 900 Watt RMS 8" Subwoofer? Coming Soon! 75Like · · Share 598 people like this. 2 of 55 View previous comments Serrano Juan 900 watts June 3 at 7:50pm · Like Larry Price this is a LOL unless its a 3" coil which will GREATLY INHIBIT excursion 900W rms is kinda pushing it on a 2.5" coil. and it will probably be full of motor design flaws like the zvx. hey kevin tell me more of how 400+400=1000

Was on a mobile device earlier. Can respond to this a bit better now.Let us see what is closed minded here. The guy who defends something that some marketing propaganda promotes or in this case me. Some history for you. In 1993, I took a 2 week independent study in college. Working as a sound engineer at the time I wanted a tuner that not only investigated tune but distortion and profiling of instruments and microphones. Steps in programming were. Write a tuner to determine both amplitude and frequency. Calculate the distortion. Unlike the POS that Steve sells, my code actually would measure all harmonics (limited by bandwidth of the acquisition card nyquist of course). It could do this on any arbitrary input as well, not some fixed frequency. Program was freely distributed on the web for years. I tried to discuss the algorithm with Steve, he grabbed his "design engineer" and neither could answer rudimentary questions. That is why he ran from here. Knew that they had overlooked a ton and didn't want it to be exposed where edits weren't in his power. In my lab, I have a suite of Bruel & Kjaer acoustic analyzing equipment that exceeds $100k in value. Also have a $60k Nicollet oscilloscope which measures harmonics out beyond 1GHz. Add to that a 3D scanning laser vibrometer that makes the Klippel look like a home brewed piece of shit. I could use ANY of it for setting gains. What do I use? My ear. Sounds pretty closed minded doesn't it? DROPS MIC.....WALKS AWAY! In epic Sean fashion

I put my mechman 240a alt on and have a group 65 diehard platinum under hood and small stinger in back. when playing full tilt on heavy bass im seeing low 12s. If i add another big plat in the back will this keep my voltage in the 13s or will it still drop to 12s as that's what the batteries rest at? this may be stupid question but none the less i am curious.
