Need to build a new box for my suv. Im running two RF t212d4 on two rf t1500bdcp. I want to go subs up port back now that im not in a trunk car. Does anyone have experience with what box size/tuning/port area these subs excel in? Right now they are in 2 cube box tuned to 35 and do ok, but im sure they have way more in them. I will post the t/s if anyone would be kind enough to see what any programs might spit out as best box size. Vehicle is 04 dodge durango. Thanks in advance Power Handling (Watts RMS): 1200 Watts RMS 2400 Watts Max Voice Coil Diameter: 4.0" (101mm) Magnet Weight (oz): 292 oz. (8.28 kg.) Im not disappointed in my current box persay. Im building new box mainly because im in an suv now(coming from trunk car) and want to orientate my box differently. As far as asking about bigger chamber size, I mostly just feel I could get more from the subs than I currently am. If not thats perfectly acceptable. Performance wise, as with any generic basshead, I want to be loud as possible with my equipment and sound good while doing it. Music is everything from J.J. Grey to Bassnecter and everything in between. Admitedly I lean more towards the bass heavy music when I have a system installed such as now.

Lots and lots of deadening. I also stuffed foam and carpet in the very back of trunk that had open spaces. I now have two layers of deadener on my trunk everywhere i could get it and it makes a difference. Only other thing i can do at this point is weld the trunk shut. also trunk lid now weighs alot so its hard to open for the wifey so be careful.

Could you elaborate on this for the op please?

When i hook up components and wire them to my amp, does the crossover unit that comes with them split the power between the two? my amp is 70w per channel does that mean my tweeter sees 35 and the woofer 35? Is it possible to just use all four channels for just my front stage? when the set is rated at 100w rms does that mean each piece can handle that or are the 50w each?

Small amp recommendations?
AXEHAMMER posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Hey guys, I have a good friend who is putting a tablet in place of his head unit. That will leave me with an opening of about 12"x12"x4" to place an amp for him. Does anyone know of or can recommind a 50x4 class ab amp that will fit in those dimensions without getting overly hot? I dont even know what to look for as most amps are bigger than that.... I have heard of mini amps but not sure of sound quality? His budget is less than 150 bucks so PLEASE help lol Thanks in advance! -

OK. so it turns out he is using an actual computer in the car and a touchscreen monitor for his display. I imagine that changes a few things like whats the best way to do the audio out from comp to amp?? -

could look at the AUDIOPIPE APSM-4080 or APSM-4050 , not the best brand but tiny and about 100 bucks You say not the best brand, i have heard its one of the worst out there. is this true? im sure he would rather spend 200 on something reliable if audiopipebomb is that bad -

Thanks all. It doesnt have to go there he just has all that space from removing factory deck so we were hoping to get one in there. I looked at the RF mini amp but it has no rca inputs, and i def need those as he will be using the headphone out jack into rca's for this.... I was planning on running small fan on amp if i put it there, but we can put it under seat if WE HAVE TO. Its just more wiring and such that he didnt want to do in the car. The nano series looked awful expensive.
