ok i have 2 18" BL subs dual 1ohm flatwind cooling and pchamfer these are the first model bl's. they are going to see a sundown 1500 to each sub what is the smallest box ported that will be ok for these subs. i want to keep the box under the rear deck in a 1995 fleetwood. between the hinges, theres trunk rods in the way. i'll invert the subs to get a lil more airspace if i need to. just need to know whats the smallest the box can be and sound good

on FI's site it says 5-8 cubes each. so i wouldnt go lower then 5 cubes. that says 5cubes minimum per sub, im doing 2, but if you look at setups such as ***** *****, thebtl requires lots of air space and his 4 18s were in a box way smaller than recommended. i want to get a answer soon so i can start building

mini coopers do suck. and thats experiance from body working on "1". have you ever pulled door apart. inner workings and everything. or removed the fender. they stick bolts in backwards and chit. but as for your alt. just add a second alt bigger one for the system and just use that alt with a custom bracket for just the system. i know there isnt much room but it will fit -

vodka + cranberry = girly drink no matter if its mixed together or chasing it.

i think fi only does the wood crate with the btl. my 18" bl's were just box with 4 90degree foam pieces holding the surround and a peice of foam housing the motor all in a coardboard box not wood

2002 Caddy on bagz...8 Fi BTL 18's, 2 RF T15k amps (new vid pg 31)
Saltine replied to meade916's topic in General Fi
that demo truck was basically a suburban with the wall behind the middle seats and 2 small ports, but it still hit pretty damn hard -

we went through that story of the preproduction amp on your site and what happened to it. but when we cranked it up for the 5 minutes or so those 8 15"s pounded pretty damn hard, and coming from RF they have the 360.2 in there and it sounded real clean. i got small shirt trick standing in the door jamb the volt meter hardly moved with the truck at idle on that little electrical system. its an amp that doesnt need overkill -

im not gonna post a bunch of pics but this shows how big this amp is, im 5'8" this is in the back of the rockford fosgate demo truck, escalade esv the amp doesnt require a *HUGE* electrical system this truck had a bunch of speakers and 8 15"s and had kietik to start anbd 3 kinetiks for the amp with a upgraded alt. these 3 powered the amp sorry for the thread hijack meade. back to chickens lac -
how are the police now out there for window tint. i usually have my windows down anyway b/c my a/c is broken. i have 5% all around and 35% down the whole front. dont need a ticket. i cant even make court dates in my home town i might paint my truck for the show although it isnt show worthy right now
-
dont wanna thread hijack but I also have 2 18" Bl's flatwind and cooling for daily use scott i have 2 sundown 1500's 1 to each sub, about to buy to finish off the system 2 kinetik 2400's, 1 1400 for under the hood. 350 amp alt. the electrical is there probally going in a suburban. i listen to mostly rap so what do you recommend for a box. how many cubes and port . ported of course.

nah i only had a w3 10" sealed in my truck as a sq system my friend kept trying to get me to test it, but i didnt even waste my money. it was probably, 3 months before tunes moved off veterans, it was really cold out. october or november 06. there new building is so much nicer, and bigger they just need to build the show display. they have manny fresh's ferrari f430 on the show room floor right now i seen mobile 1 having a show about 2 weeks ago but i dont know which mic they used, i didnt even attend. i know ppl at both locations as i work for a bodyshop and we do cars for both shops every now and then
-
just checked your car doamin page, your truck looked familiar and i remember i seen you at the old Tunes building for a test and tune show.
