Im all for waiting for a great product...but I think the "wait time" should be adjusted to reflect reality. Mine and Chad's wait time has been well over double the posted time...would be more appropriate to reflect this. My opinion as a customer. Still a helluva sub worth the wait though!

Not exactly kid friendly, but a classic bass remix for those times when you're by yourself. -

Heres a good bass beat and catchy, this video is a clean version but even if it was the dirty version not sure you'd catch what they're saying! -

When youre by yourself and you really want to test your system, crank this. To me it almost sounds like a jet coming in for a landing and can be absolutely violent! http://www.realmofexcursion.com/audio/testtones/20Hz_to_120Hz_slow_warble.mp3 -

Far East Movement http://www.amazon.com/Dirty-Bass-Far-East-Movement/dp/B0087UXMAK/ref=sr_1_5_digr?ie=UTF8&qid=1372643954&sr=8-5 My wife actually got me listening to them...pretty sure not any cuss words...and the bass is phenomenal, especially the track "Dirty Bass". -
Well guys, after a very loooooong wait...its finally over! And let me tell you, I have not even heard this thing yet and Im already creaming my panties. Here are some pictures, and when I have it installed hopefully a little bit later today I will update with pics. For those of you who already own an SSA subwoofer this will be nothing new for you (but probably brings back some great memories!). For those sitting on a fence trying to decide which way to go??? .... I have to say as far as shipping goes, SSA gets an SSA+. Holy shit you guys do this right! You guys even included a living room table! My son playing in the box. 15" Xcon vs 12" Pioneer shallow mount sub...no contest.

Right in the middle of my trip to Florida! Grrrrrrrrrr. Maybe next one for me. -
meter on dash in front of passanger side, driver side door open. Since Im new to all this, can you explain the advantages/disadvantages? They said I could open a window or door, that door open would be better.

Ah nevermind, looked more closely... You do still have the spare underneath, didnt catch that.
-
You could make upfiring enclosure like people do with the wheel well space instead of storage compartments. Using some type of grill cover, you would retain your trunk space altogether.

Check the NICKELODEON forums, im sure those kids will have more experience with this sorta thing.

This is my new favorite, mostly for SQ as the staging is great also has a catchy beat. https://soundcloud.com/hfn-music/kasper-bj-rke-sunrise-with-2

So I attended a little show near me in Rocky Mount, VA and tried my luck at the meter for the first time! I hit 139.1 at the dash with some Far East Movement music (yeah I know, what a selection right!) But I felt pretty good with it considering I was not even planning on doing so, only went to try my luck with the Sound Quality portion...I had really tweaked my amp gains lower for the "SQL" to rid my self of some unwanted noise (noise floor? rf interference? I dunno) Anyways, so technically I was not set up right for the SPL, so I think 139 was good for me and the lack of preparation. As for the "SQL" portion, there were only 3 of us competing and to be honest I was kind of disappointed with the quality of the CD used. (possibly again my lack of preparation?!) Main song was a live version of Hotel California, well my copy of the studio version is waaaaaaaay different than the live version so all the time I spent adjusting gains, EQ'ing etc for my version went completely out the window! Also we had to keep the passenger window open for the judges to talk with each other...but the passenger windows faced the crowd and the others doing SPL comps at the same time...I think it would have benefited everyone for the "SQL" to take place further away in a much quieter spot. Anyways, no bitchin from me as all three of us had to endure the same issues. I guess I should have worked on my tuning a little better with what they had. But my mind was all over the place being my first real competition (that I participated), and not knowing what to expect. Plus just getting my Xcon installed less than a week ago I am still tweaking to my liking. I had a great time and look forward to many more. Ok just a little bitching...man I had my system set up perfect for the "SQL"! At least I thought I did, sounded great to me. But the live version was not the same and way to bright for me. Oh well! ...end rant.

I think a free SMD DD-1 is in order for mr Bassaholic and the million post milestone.
