Either of you guys here? -
Im guessing its tied into the Sundown "X" theme...so you see an x when looking through the port?

while the 80prs has earned its reputation, I do believe its limited to two way active so if you ever desire to go three way active, you may be outta luck. Why not just keep your HU since you like it anyway and just add the RF360.3? (DSP w/ Line Driver)

I think I'll get there around 11am or Noon. Two hour ride for me, so can only make it out for Satuday. Possibly bringing my 4 yr old son, In which case I wont be trying to compete as much rather just enjoy the other setups and let him see what its all about. -
Here is a good amp to get you pretty loud outside on a boat http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_38338_Precision-Power-PPI-P900.4.html

Are you sure its the sub bottoming out and not something rattling real bad? Try to listen with the trunk open, if you havent already. -
This is how my enclosure from DC Creations came and it was fine.

Turn the gain down? Also disable any bass boost from amp and/or head unit. -
Wish I had a sweet boat to put subwoofers in.
-
Avoid shitty pre fab boxes...have someone make you one to the Xcons specs.

I have a Hifonics BRX2000.1D Absolutely love it. Have had it a little over a year and not a single issue. http://www.amazon.com/Hifonics-BRX2000-1D-Vehicle-Subwoofer-Amplifier/dp/B00BHSTVQS

I know this thread has been dead for a long time, but I found a site to download the entire collection. Enjoy. http://www.elias-lange.de/mercedes-benz-mixed-tape-download-compilation/

Whats up with the speaker wire?? Is it two strands connected as one?
-
If its a 2ohm sub, then looks to be wired at 4ohm http://m.seimg.net/product/img/subwoofer_wiring/1_sub_DVC_2_ohm_mono_variation1.jpg

I have a stock head unit. I drive a Ford Focus Titanium and the headunit is already touch screen so I didn't wanna mess with any of that. So I can't say specifically because they didn't talk to me about this, but whatever is stock, that's all I can say is how it's reaching the amp. My stock headunit setup is very similar to this, so it was hard for me to want to mess with the housing and all that. Not sure what my options are. I just found this image on google images real quick. The reason I was asking about the head unit was because some factory OEM headunits can attenuate the bass as volume increases. Im just curious how they took the signal from the head unit, Line Output Converter? If so which one? LOC's also have a gain setting, maybe its not correct? Did your car have a factory amp already in place? Did they tap the signal from the factory amp or directly from the head unit?
-
Maybe I missed the info, but how is the audio reaching the amps? Head unit with RCA or line output converter? What head unit do you have?
-
What is the SSF (sub sonic frequency) set to on your amp? If your box is trully tuned to 29Hz, then your SSF should be within a couple Hz probably not lower than 25Hz?
-
Any chance you can turn the sub and port up? Give that a try, unless it wont fit that way.

balance/SQ, lossless line voltage?

Great amp for running a complete active setup?

Jl has a 6 (XD600/6) and 8 channel amp (XD800/8) The xd600/6 has a very small footprint, smaller than the likes of the ppi 900.4 (granted the JL not as much power) I have the XD800/8 waiting for install, and the footprint is significantly larger than the 600/6 almost comparable to my mono subwoofer amp. In the warmer days Im gonna go active and the 8 channel leaves me options for rear fill or even bridge mode if need be.
