What did you say? I'm too mesmerized by your avatar to know what we're talking about right now

Is there a reason why you simply don't email him? It clearly says in his signature that he rarely reads his PM's...and his email addy is right below it.

Possible plan B...Chaos 12 instead of Havoc 12

Thanks for the valuable info. I have a stealth setup and my sealed spare tire well enclosure is only 1.2 cubes. It sounds like the Chaos won't fit my needs afterall. My first choice has always been a Havoc 12 so that's probably end up with in several months. Thanks. -
Thanks for the info. I'm almost embarrassed by my one sub setup now

Nuts indeed. That's sick. Great job. BTW, what's your opinion on the Chaos?

Possible plan B...Chaos 12 instead of Havoc 12

Well, whatever sub I choose will be going into the same enclosure as I've been using for for several years with my 1st gen Arsenal 12....a sealed 1.2 cube MDF/fiberglass spare tire well enclosure in a '98 CRV. I'm very much a LSQ guy. Is the Chaos line more SPL oriented? I love the 1st gen Arsenal but there are times when I wish it hit a little bit harder. There have been times when I've had to lower the HU volume a little bit so it wouldn't bottom out. I'll soon be installing AA's 7" poly mids in the front doors since I'm looking for more midbass upfront. -
Has anyone actually heard a Chaos? I had my heart set on a Havoc 12 but I'm afraid it may now be a little too rich for my blood after seeing the dealer MSRP. If anyone has actually seen a Chaos in action would you consider it a worthy upgrade to the 1st gen Arsenals? My plan is to get a refurbished Sundown SAE 1000D to power either the Chaos 12 or the Havoc 12. I won't be doing anything for several months but I just want some reliable info before I dive into it. Thanks.

I can only hope my local dealer goes way below MSRP on the Havoc 12. Even at the old internet price of $319 shipped it was on the outside edge of what I would be willing to spend. I want it badly but I'll probably pass if it's in the $380 and over range.

I just love the looks of the Havocs. I want a Havoc 12 so bad that I can taste it. A Havoc 15 with a Sundown 1500D...should be killer.
-
My main concern is pricing. Will the prices remain around the same or will they increase substantially? I want to upgrade to the Havoc 12 but it's already on the outside edge of what I'm willing to spend. Once the dealers list is announced it will be no problem finding one but the pricing concerns me.
-
"and the line is now dealer based only." No more online AA sales? Am I understanding you correctly? If so, will this affect pricing? The online price of the Havoc 12 was already on the outside edge of what I'm willing to pay.

I have the 1st gen Arsenal 12 which I picked up when it was initially introduced during the presale. I've never had the pleasure to hear the new Arsenals (which no doubt sound great) but I much prefer the appearance of the originals. The all-black cone of the original looks clean and bad-a$$. The logo on the dustcap on the new line looks kinda cheesy,IMO. If I decide to replace my Arsenal in the near future the Havoc 12 would be my choice. That thing just looks plain nasty.

I have the 1st gen Arsenal 12 and I've been thinking about upgrading to the Havoc 12. That thing looks nasty as hell...love it. BTW, what's the mounting depth? I'm just not sure if I want to fork over a good amount of cash for a new sub set-up right now. I was thinking about powering it with the Sundown SAE-1000D so the total cost would be a little over $700. I'm looking forward to your review.

Almost 600 pounds?! WHOA!
