I've run under the vehicle in the past. Had a chunk of snow/ice fall off a truck and damage the wire in my ex's old Taurus. I move capet now

Umm - http://www.google.com/product_url?q=http:/...gl=us&hl=en Not much of an improvement w/o a lot of deadening, but an easy start. And I wanted 6x8's for a while also.... after a couple of pairs I finally bought some components, made the baffle, applied 3 layers, replaced factory wiring.... It's worth the time and money to buy the comps and do the install right.

So it's agreed they'll both sound great. I know this question is subjective, but which will be easier for an SPL application? I really enjoy the the really low definition for my daily driving, but once in a while it's fun to dazzle spectators... of course the Napalm is in the same price range.... and so is a BL. Crap, anyone else have any thoughts/recommendations.

I was looking at the new mag, but it's looking a little stange these days. the price is right, but I not sure on performance. After watching Lloyds vids with alan jackson and Mariah I wanted a pair, but he new 5" mounting depth seems odd. Anyone know first hand?

So robot underground is offering Brahmas http://cgi.ebay.com/CUSTOM-4U-NEW-ADIRE-AU...1742.m153.l1262 I had a mk1 years ago and loved it. are these going to be as nice, or are there better deals for the same $? I really loved the efficiency in the lower frequencies.

My vote is HU settings. If you were giving that sub that much power in a box that big your sub should be bottoming out or the VC's would be burning from not moving.

So I finally got around to openning up the Lightning Audio S1.1000D I had running a couple of AA Assissins and two (that I noticed) of the transisters labeled IRF6215 have gone to amp heaven... I don't see any other problems, is it worth trying to replace the fried parts or will I run into more problems as I progress?

Ok, that confirms my hunch. Anyone want an OG Assassin 12? Thanks, guess I have an excuse to go shopping.... and cutting

It's the older basket. I wouldn't mind swapping the parts myself. It would be a fun experience if the price is right I'll do both. If I go new I'm not going w/ assassin's. The issue being a regular cab truck ('99 f-250 super duty). I managed 5 cubes and a 7 inch mounting depth, which is beefy for a single cab, but if I upgrade I'm going with a blow through.

I have... had a pair of the original Assassin 12's until my amp decided to burn. One driver went to hell and the speaker wires actually melted off the other. Surprisingly, the speaker wire saved the second driver, but the other is a paper weight. Is it cost effective to shoot for a recone, or would it almost be better to pick out a new pair of entry level subs? Thanks
