stolen subs, stolen pics, ebay site possibility?
Sturchionix posted a topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
sorry, for missunderstanding, -
Nick and those at SI i just heard the news today, leave it to me to be the last one, but i feel horrible for what happened 2 you and wish you the best.i dont meen to sound like im just stop being sad and start writing a big message like sh*ts a-o-k but i thought maybe i could try and help you out. There is onyl 6 or so hours left on that ebay bid, but i hope someone can read this and recall... I rememeber about a month or 2 at the most, ago, someone had bought a magnum. My memmory says only 1, but i could be wrong. I remember those pictures 100% when i saw them... Those pictures for the description of the sub in the ebay auction R definately the exact pics that were once placed on this forum when one of the users finally recieved their magnum. I know for a fact, and theres no way, im sorry i dont believe someone would buy 2 magnums, have them for 2 months and not use them once (as stated in the ebay item auction)... Also, if you were selling stolen goods, and knew people would be looking out for naked woofers without logos wouldnt you try and pass them off as different models, so ppl thought they were legit, when in fact they werent. i looked all throughtout the forrum and could not find the string.... either the message was old and fadded away and is no longer available, or the theives maybe erased the topic, realizing that someone would figure out they ripped the pics off the board. if i am wrong and whoever bought those subs is legitametly trying to sell them, i appologise sincerely for badgering you, but if this is not the case, everyone who have gotten a mag within the past month or so if u read this, please asap check out this auction, see if these were the pics u took and threw on the message board, and if its not u who is selling these subs, report to nick or anyone else of SI management. thanks for readin everyone http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...5710991199&rd=1

questions for 12" or 15" with 1000-1500wrms

thank you guys so much for your help... i will def get the 12 then, but as far as the amp goes, i have a saturn, they come stock with 80 amp alternators should i just replace the magic 3 ((wires)battery, ground alt.) and whatnot? would a capacitor/extra battery be my best bet (if so what size) or should i just spend another 250$ on an upgrade alternator that does 150 amps... after this is all figured out, is it worth the extra 100 or 150$ or so to get the bx1500d as opposed to the bx1000d? how much louder would this really get the sub in a 2.5 or 3 ft cubic box.... or should i just settle with the NINe.1 (1100wrms) from elemental designs? this is my one and only doing, once i get this sub and amp it has to last me for the next 3 or more years as i wont be able to get anything else, nor will i let myself. so i want to do it right. thanks for ur help, hope to hear from ya, ~dan -
Hello everyone, i just had a few quick questions. My friend recently bought 2 kicker comp. vr series 12" subs i believe they were, and hes running them off of a 600 watt amp, i dont know the name of it tho or the specific stats. His car sounds lovely from the inside and outside. I keep telling everyone about stereointegrity and to buy their subs but none of my friends listen to me... they all think im dumb because i dont have one yet(due to lack of funds), and so they dont believe me when i tell them what it can really do and they think im just bullsh*tting. i want to show them and make them jelous. (thats not a main priority of mine to getting this sub, but it would be nice.) my main goal is to have maybe like a 60 or 65% SQ and 40 or 35% SPL. A am either going to get the hyfonix brutus bx1000d or bx1500d, or i left my options open to the elemental design NINe.1 which is on sale right now for $250.00 and does 1200x1 @ 1 ohm, 800x1 @ 2 ohm, 400x1 @ 4 ohm RMS. I was just wondering the best combination to be like atleast twice as loud as my friends kickers, but a hell of alot tighter and percise in SQ. is it better to say i only have one 12 and this is what my one little 12 can do, and just laugh cause everyone will be jelous? or should i really go for the 15, and will it be just as tight, but louder?, (running off of the same amp of course as the 12 would have been) as far as the box goes, i dont want anything over 2.5 or 3 at the most cubic ft. weather ported or sealed. hope i didnt forget anything, thanks for all of your help, hope to hear from you guys soon, c u L8r ps i drive a 1997 saturn sc2 if that matters, and have the kenwood mp 822 or whatever its model number is. (the 3d motorizes mask) ~dan pps also my bro has an ed12a running off of a tsunami 1200w amp. i also want to be louder and tighter than his sub if at all possible. i am very open to ideas and suggestions, also if any knows where i can get a tsunami amp or if they will start makin em again thad be cool.... once again, thanks alot guys.... peace

15" mag bx1500d and fiberglass box in the trunk
Sturchionix replied to Sturchionix's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
ok... well.... i got my cougar back with a new tranny and decided with my dad to get a 5-speed 97 saturn sc2 because its better to spend more money on a car that wont die, then keep spending chunks of money fixing a car that might have many more probs with it. so long story short i have to unfortunately be holding off on the magnum 15 because all my money is going towards paying off like 5 grand between tranny, and my 2 car payments. well thank you all for the replys and help, hope to be bumpin with the rest of ya magnum owners sum day... anyway, c u all L8r -
15" mag bx1500d and fiberglass box in the trunk
Sturchionix replied to Sturchionix's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
thank you all for the input so far, as a correction, i found out my bro has a e12a and a tsunami 1200.1. not a e12o and 1800.1 ... im just wondering how much louder mine might get than his, give or take sum decibls due to box sizes within 1 cubic foot of eachother.. anyway my car is in the shop until tuesday/wednesday because my transmission is getting rebuilt because it really sucks. once i get it back probably the first thing i will do is open the trunk, grab my trusty ruler and measure the whole inside and the well. aside from all of this i was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to protect my sub aside from an alarm. does anyone think getting a python snap twisted cable, or perhaps a big thick linked chain to have bolted from the top to the bottom of the trunk? of course with just enough room to fit my hands in there and undo the lock if i ever need to get in there... but i really dont want my sub getting stolen once i put it in, any one have any good ideas to help me out? thanks again.. dan -
hello everyone, its nice to meet you all, im new and have been reading alot about these subs and looking all over the forum and have found alot of help and interesting stories and such. my brother had bought a ed12o hooked up to a tsunami 1800 im pretty sure and its nice, to me and what im used to hearing, it booms; it sounds lovely. its in a custom fiberglass box that was molded and put in the back corner/side right behind the wheelwell of his 2002 z28 and fits perfect. i think its close from .8-1.2 cubit feet. it sounds lovely. i dont want to go ed though i wanted to try the magnums out and am going to buy a 15". i wanted to take the spare tire out of my car (93 cougar) wich is in a little cut out in the trunk, but hidden because when in the trunk, if you pull up on a floor matt, there is a maybe 1 ft deep hole thats maybe 30" round for the spare and jack and such to fit consealably. i wanted to take my spare out and like my brother did cutom fit a fiberglass box where that hole is(its not literally a hole, more like a big molded dent.,... you guys know what im talking about i hope) . i dont have any exact measurements but i just wanted to know if anyone had any general feedback for me. i have a kenwood kdc-mp822 deck, and am going to hook the 15" d2 up to a hyfonix brutus bx1500d and run my stock speakers right from the deck. im guesing thats enough because other topics have told me that small amps will be fine. mainly i just wanted to know if i could do this because it would be in a fiberglass box that makes the sub face straight up, not towards the back or front, but straight up towards the top of the trunk, or the roof etc. if u know what i meen. and as one last question, sorry to anoy everyone with all my rambling on, but i have a stock alternator. dont know how many amps it runs, but for a setup like mine, might i need to make sure my alternator is putting out atleast 120 amps? higher maybe?... thanks for all your support and help, hope to meet some of you guys in the future... dan
