I don't think you need admin privileges to send out a multiple recipient message. There's a member list right here and you can have some bot crawl that, then send out individual pm's. The title of the last pm just said "From Administrator" to fool people. That said, it already looks like they use CAPTCHA to validate user sign-ups. I guess they could add some question like "two plus twelve equals?" but one quick look from the perpetrator can have this exception added to his bot's registration process. Might be worth a shot, though. EDIT - Also, people don't usually go through this much trouble just to advertise a porn site; there is likely some drive-by infection attempt at the other end of this link.

Yeah that's the thread I was talking about. There are only specs for a sealed box, no ported. But no biggie. I forgot he was heading to China this week.

Hey, out of curiosity, are the BM's no longer recommended for ported use? In the official BM thread you made the other day there is no size listed, so I'm not sure if you just haven't had enough time with it or if it's no good in that alignment. The sealed size in that thread is different from this thread so I assume the driver's undergone some changes. I was originally thinking of running one mag, but at 0.5 sealed I could fit two BM's in easily. Decisions, decisions... =)

Understanding Power Compression
soydeedo replied to DevilDriver's topic in Technical Info & How To's
I had never really heard of this topic until today via one of audioholic's posts. I did a google search and this article came up, but on s10forum.com. I thought to myself, wow, that's a pretty in depth topic for an s10 forum, but then I saw the author and did a quick search here. Awesome writeup as always, DD. =) -
Awesome, this makes things much easier. =)

Glad to hear that all is going well with the prototype - that means we won't have to wait as long for the production version. =) Also that price sounds simply awesome. Looking forward to seeing how this pans out.

Oh, well damn. I just check here and audiojunkies for news about SI. Maybe a good idea would be to have a newsletter for when you update your site? Just a quick email to let people know to look. I'm already subscribed to email updates for the SI forum here just for this kind of news. =)

You mean 15" mag? And am I just a little slow on the uptake or did you not tell us you finally had pics of the new mag basket posted on your website? Till now all I had seen were the sketches that were posted on audiojunkies.

Can't wait to read your results from the testing. =)

That's probably db-r, and he said he's already spoken to him. =P

This one was even better. I'm jealous of both. =P

Hey there. I just wanted to request that you put up an archive section on your website where it tells t/s specs and recommended enclosures for older models. I was looking for the specs for the older BM's and found what I was looking for on another site, but it shouldn't eat too much bandwith and it's always nicer to have an official place of reference on the manufacturer's site imho. Thanks for reading. Time to go back to lurking. =)

Maybe he meant 3-5 days or 35 days till his build.

I don't think weighting down your hood would really keep any noise out of the cabin. Even if you used sound absorbing material instead of regular dampening it would mainly just reduce noise on the outside of the vehicle - I'm pretty sure your engine makes more noise than the wind passing across our aerodynamic hood. You'd want to throw it on your floor and against the are behind the dash/firewall to keep road noise outta the cabin I would think. Disclaimer: I have no idea what I'm talking about.

Yeah those "bluecore" batteries are great for being NiCd. The black and decker should be fine for very casual use, though and it'll run you a lot less than most of the others as long as you get it at walmart. If you go to one of the hardware stores they'll still charge you an arm and a leg and you might as well get something else.

Smallest amount of air space for the 18" sealed.

The 2500d has the following specs as far as I can tell: 1 X 1200 @ 4 Ohm 1 X 1700 @ 2 Ohm 1 X 2500 @ 1 Ohm Not sure where you got the 600w @ 2ohm spec from. -

sounds like good news to me. thanks, bud. =) -
ok so i have two oz audio ME 10.4's one of which just got its dustcap ruptured during a move. it's a nice sized crack that spans the diameter of the cap, but it's not a hole. i've tried numerous times to contact oz to get a replacement to no avail [and i've heard they don't offer replacements after the warranty period anyways] so i did two things. first i epoxied the crack yesterday. second i found someone with an ubranded RE SR dustcap that seems to be the same shape sans oz audio imprint. pic of RE SR for reference: so my question is whether either of these modifications to one sub will alter the combined sound of both subs. i know you're not supposed to mix speakers that produce differing representations of a certain frequency range, but i'm just not sure the extent of the effect something like this will have on freq response. with the epoxy there is a little bit of added mass, though it may not seem like much i'm sure it's pretty heavy relative to the weight of the cone. with the RE SR cap there is probably some lost mass. in addition to this i guess the fact that the imprint is either added to or detracted from so i don't know if that shape difference will cause an audible difference in sound. any advice would be great. thanks fellas.
