it is. I was saying its 45 per sub. its 90 all together
-
Its has 45 sqin of port area. Is that enough?
-
i don't know how to calculate port are or how much i would need for these subs? and is my tuning ok? It's around 35
-
alright well is the port the right size ?
-
it's tuned to 35. The dimensions of the port are. Height: 15" Width: 6" Depth to back of box 23" Depth to end of port 13.5
-
alright then i will go ahead and save the money haha. How about my box. It was built in a shop 7 cuft fairly big port. its my profile pic. What kind of box would you use and what dimensions. I have a 98 blazer and really don't wanna go above the head rests. I want a loud box but it's a daily driver not for burps
-
so if i buy an amp thats 2000 rms real watts i wouldn't notice any audible difference? I plan on going from the hifi1500 which isn't certified to the brutus 2100 which is certified
-
well i'm looking at an amp that puts out 2000 actual watts. This one i think only puts out around 750 if i had to guess
-
this amp is supposed to put out 1500 rms and i'm pretty sure it doesn't so if i get an amp that puts out real watts i'm positive i'll hear a difference
-
so i'm no longer going to run 3 subs. What kind of amp would you reccomend for these subs? I know they can take more. I have them in a 7 cuft ported box. I don't remember the other numbers but the box is my profile picture if that helps. I want it to hurt my ears again haha

Flip Out Help
Budah93 replied to Budah93's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I have a pretty nice system in the back so i want it to sound good. I don't need bluetooth or navi. needs to be ipod compatible that's about it. Preferablly white or color changeable buttons. I could probably spend a little more for a good one. Any specific ones you guys would reccomend? -
I plan on buying a flip out in the next few days and was wondering what you guys think about these 3 http://www.sonicelectronix.com/compare_items.php?imageField.x=118&imageField.y=15&product_ids=39667%2C40239%2C40240%2C35048&hide_highlights=yes&hide_similar_features=&remove_products[]=35048 I'm willing to look at other ones but need to be somewhere around this price range. Thanks

any suggestions??? -
Alright after doing some research I must apologize for aruging with all of you. I looked at some systems and they all have had major issues shortly after install. Hoping i didn't make all of you completely hate me because i will need more help when it comes times too an upgrade. I will for sure listen to you guys from now on....Thanks
-
There question is answered. I'm not hell bent on running 3 subs but i don't wanna pay full price to buy a 4th one and i probably don't have the appropriate space to have 4 subs anyway. What amp would you reccomend to put on my current 2 sa15s?
-
They all need go back to the original post and re read the question. I asked would it be louder! i did not ask anything else and none of them answered my question. A simple yes or no would have been suffice that's all not them all lecturing me about it being a bad idea. i know it's not the best idea but i'm getting the 3rd sundown sub for 50 bucks from a buddy and i paid 150 for mine so it's not like i spent a ton of money on the set up anyway. I know there are other ways to make it louder but for the price i'm paying... you can't beat it
-
i'm not gonna run my 1 ohm amp at 2. whatever ohms it's gonna be. I want it at the best efficiency. And the amps are very similar and will have all settings equal no just the dials looking the same.

yes because I have to cut to put a double din in my suv. -
you can't run 3 d4s at 1 ohm for 1 and 2nd off your analogy is in valid if everything is set up correctly and i have all the meters neccesary to do so. Each sub will get the same amount of power have the same amount of volume in the box
-
I literally just wanted to know if 3 subs would be noticeably louder and one person answered that for me
-
I was listening to them but they never gave me answer besides "that's a bad idea" what makes them better than any other installer? The fact that they think they know everything about car audio there is to know?? I just wanted to know if it would make it louder not don't do it its a bad idea.
-
I was asking advice and i know that bolting a speaker in is not an install. I've seen their work and i trust them with anything
-
I'm going to replace the speakers in my 98 blazer. Would it be worth it to put components in the back or just have components in the front and coaxials in the back? i plan on my this amp http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Alpine+-+Power+Pack+180W+Class+D+Bridgeable+Multichannel+Amplifier+with+High-Pass+Filter/4769803.p?id=1218524495173&skuId=4769803 and these are the components i want to buy http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_34373_Alpine-SPS-610C.html If its not worth i plan to buy alpine type s coaxials
