Oh crap, sorry about the packing peanuts.......Now I understand why you all don't like em..........LOL
-
thanx for the timely responses, as I know you all are a busy group. As you can imagine though, the sooner I can get my baby back the better!!
-
I am showing that you received my sub today Scott, please let me know what is going on, when you get a chance. Thanx.

What is your point also? How about before posting questionable comments, you ask some useful comments like: What's the SSF set to? or What's the HZ set at on the amp or What's the input level at?........Jeez, some of you do anything for a post count.
-
FYI: BOTH of those amps are capable of sending >1000w to a 2ohm load. What's your point? I have seen a Q being pushed by over 1300W daily. I have had too many subs, to be an assclown and blow it during an error of wiring or too much power. At least have a point before you post questionable comments.
-
I would also like to know what amp were you using? How was it wired? What were the gains set to? I have a BTL in the garage that I was using for burps, that was seeing 1 SAZ1500D to each coil for about 3K W total, and I was unsuccessful @ trying to overpower it. Either your signal was clipped, or the "asshat's," that did your install were about as useful as an infant with a DMM. I also hope you realize that the BTL's don't come with a warranty due to their ridiculous power usage.

I have never given it more than 1000w. It's only been powered by a JL 1000/1 and a Sundown 1500D @ 2 ohms. thanx for responding to the post Scott.

Hey, just to let you know, that amp only does 1,050w rms @ 1 ohm. I did a bench test on it back in December at exotic car audio here in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. Clarion really blew their reputation by releasing that amp with those over-exaggerated specs.

I have seen a few post that the BL can handle 1500w, but I am a little bit concerned about powering it with my SAZ1500D @ 1 ohm. I don't want to blow the sub, as I know the amp puts out a tad bit more @ 1 ohm than it's rated power. If anyone is already running this setup please let me know, so I won't make a mistake. Quintin.

Well, I just wanted to make sure before I bought the sub that I could use it in that setup. I currently have my amp pushing a Q @ 2 ohms.

Vented.......2.2CUF @ 32HZ Daily.

Thanx for the quick reply. I have decided to just get a 15" BTL and call it a day. I was looking at putting it in a box about 4 cubes. I don't know what to tune it to, as I like the bass to hit low and clean. I also have new dimensions for the BTL (W) 36" (D) 14" (H) 17" LMK, thanx.

My sub sounds like ass in the box that I currently have it in. Waaaay too much port noise! I am only running a single sub right now, but I will have two Q's pretty soon. I am in desperate need of a box design to fit my needs, my parameters are as follows: (Max Dimensions Given) Depth - 15" Height - 16" Width - 34" I need the box tuned to about 32HZ. I would like to keep the chambers separate, as it might be a while before I buy the other sub. I would like to hear what the first sub sounds like before spending more money on another 1. All help would be appreciated. You can PM me on caraudio.com under Qbenjamin.

What are the wiring options for the D1's? I can't find any charts indicating the wiring options for a D1 sub.

I can barely wait to get my first Q...........Can't stop trying to lick the picture.....Must stop it.

they have been definitely quick to answer any questions that I have had.

I will be waiting to see the results.

got your electrical equipment in place before your actual setup, impressive. Most people are too eager to do so.

They never got in touch with Nick, instead apparently Googled "Stereo Integrity" and came up with some audio shop in upstate NY, and thought that they came out with their own line of drivers. They sent it a fraction of its rated power (~300W, IIRC), and wondered why the output wasn't up to par with other speakers. Meanwhile, the RE MX was listed as one of the finest subs ever tested for the magazine, in both subjectivity and SPL... I couldn't give a chit what CA&E does, it comes down to whoever pays for the pretty advertising. That suks
