Im about to be doing an enclosure for 2 12" Memphis m5 subwoofers. . And I cant find enclosure recommendations for them.... been looking on google for a while and cant find a straight answer.. anyone know around how big I should make this? I'm going to be trying to get them behind the 3rd row in an escalade. . Dude has not brought it by yet so not sure if ill be able to fit them yet........., ported by the way
-
Anyone? Meeting dude tomorrow and wanna have an idea of what they need. I'm guessing around 2 cubes or so a piece.

Is there a good way to fix a broken basket of a 12 zcon. . Its broke where the spokes connect to the top ring. . 4 of them are broke. But sub works perfect. . . . Really don't want to have to recone. . . Is this able to be welded? Without messing up surround or anything
-
They don't but will need a recone if I put a new basket on
-
Don't think I could like spot weld it or something? I know ill need a new one eventually but just wanna try to make it last a little. . It lasted months with jb weld. Just seeing if there was something that would work better
-
I know. It sucks.. already been waiting over 2 months for my recone for my other motor. I really cant wait that much longer for another one ... trying to get my new build done. . Iv already missed 3 comps
-
As y'all can see its been jb welded in the passed but came apart again
-
Thanks man.

Cant upload pictures but can send pictures to someone if they wanna put them here

So does it sound like something is hitting the inside of the dustcap? -

If the dust cap is rattling then it is a glue failure not a heat build up issue. Are you actually getting output from the subs at all? yes I can play them for about two minutes fine and then the rattling starts to kick in. I wouldn't call it rattling as much as I would say it sounds like a hammer hitting the dustcapWhere is your ssf set? (If you have one) Kinda sounds like bottoming out. Maybe? Iv had plenty of subs without cooling and never had noise. Heat yes but it doesn't Seem like heating up would cause it to make a lot of noise. But I have set ssf to low in the past and had knocking sounds. -
Cool. Good to hear. Just cant wait to show people what some ssa's can do lol and winning some compsLook forward to it. Ill post some pictures and videos
-
A lot of power and cone area. I could do a little hair trick with one 15 zcon on 3k in my trunk. Was a 4th order ported through the rear deck though

What all gos into building the recones? Just don't understand how this is taking longer than some people ordering subs. . Shouldn't the recone be way less time?..... bout 10 weeks now
-
I would put your low pass around 80 or 90 . That's one thing thats taking volts having it up so high. Also you should probley turn your bass boost all the way down ( cant believe know one said that yet lol) both of them things should help....... also I would do a ground from batt to your motor. And make sure all other grounds are grinded down really good and tightened good

" I measure the voltage with a Stinger volt meter tapped into my head unit wires" i remember reading that now.. F me right!Lol. . I'm thinking the gain is just way up. . And also needs some kind of storage even having a ho alt.
