Will the crossover on the RF not work for this application?

It would be nice if AA would update the website with this info. Some people would benefit from this.

Thanks guys.

I think the thousands of tunes that have been done by these manufactures will prove the gains. Maybe this is true in the Ford family, but I have personally seen these type of gains in bone stock vehicles. I'm not saying that Steve will get 30hp at the rear. I'm not sure what he's done to the vehicle. A good CAI and cat-back system will unleash more potential in the tuning process.

I'm not sure who if anyone does a PCM/ECM tune for FORD's. The tunes discussed earlier were stictly for GM vehicles. Sorry about that. I'll try to look into that for you. You may want to check a FORD forum and ask about a custom tune. Good Luck.

im definitly interested in a few items to help horsepower......i mean it dont feel any different with 4 alts then it did with 2 but i could always use extra power. Electric fan is definitly in the question......watsup with this tune you speak of, i have the crap hypertech but i want the real deal. Can i use both? I AT LEAST need the hypertech to adjust the 26's to my speedo.....thats probably the best thing about it I personally have a PCM tune from PCM4less.com. Bryan Herter is a great guy that can answer any questions you might have. I've heard great things about Jesse Bubb who owns Wait4meperformance.com. Some of the things they can do for you are listed. -get your engine tuned for a particular octane 87, 89, 91 or a dual tune 87-89 or 89-91 (just means you can put any gas in that range to get things going). The higher the octane the more horses. -eliminte some or all torque management. This helps with dead stop take-off. -firmer shifts. This will actually help with the life of the tranny. The quicker it locks into a gear, the less time the tranny belt has to heat up (heat=quicker wear and tear) You won't really feel this unless your on the gas a lot, so a smooth ride at cruising speeds is still obtainable. - 20-30hp more at the wheels. Your hypertech only scrathes the surface of the potential of the truck. - You can adjust for your 26" tires This is not a handheld device. You can send you PCM to them or they may have a PCM in stock for your vehicle they can send you. That way, your not out of a truck for 5 or so days. My best advice is to call either one up and talk shop with them. Both great guys and you can't beat the rice for what you get. If you got any more questions PM me. Good Luck!!!

One-third of the total power of a 75-piece orchestra comes from the bass drum. High frequency sounds of 2-4,000 Hz are the most damaging. The uppermost octave of the piccolo is 2,048-4,096 Hz. Aging causes gradual hearing loss, mostly in the high frequencies. Speech reception is not seriously impaired until there is about 30 dB loss; by that time severe damage may have occured. Hypertension and various psychological difficulties can be related to noise exposure. The incidence of hearing loss in classical musicians has been estimated at 4-43%, in rock musicians 13-30%.

With a setup like that you need some custom work done on the engine. ever thought of getting an electrical fan and maybe a PCM tune. Did it to my 4.8L Sierra, and I'm pulling about 310hp on that engine. A 5.3 will get you about 10-15 more hp than mine. For half of what you paid for the alt's, you can get another 20-30hp no joke. I'm not talking no hand held tuner crap, I'm talking 30hp at the wheels depending on how you want it tuned. Anyway... Looks great!!!! 916 representing.....I live in 707 VACA. See you around.

I know this. I really like what ORB has done with this little 4" driver. It's just missing a bit of that midbass to make it a better system in my opinion. This system is eventually going into my computer and private studio room. I just want to try a little project with these things and see what comes of it.

Thanks. I've been playing Burnout Revenge and have finished the game and recieved quite a few achievements and the same for Guitar Hero. These achievements weren't with other online players but, but me playing with myself (not what you may think). I don't know if this helps. Thanks again.

Ok, so the old man just got connected to xbox live today . Played a couple of games, (burnout, forza, and guitar hero). How do I get world rankings. My ranking is just a - on the screen. Also, how and the hell can I play Guitar Hero online. I know these may sound like dumb questions, but you have to remember that it wasn't till college that computers got integrated into the classroom. HELP!! I'm trying to catch up with the youth. Thanks.

LOC question
JazzScreamer replied to JazzScreamer's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Steve agreed that this would be the solution. We will see soon. -
I kow that I've asked some of these questions before, but a few ideas came to my head this morning since I'm not satisfied with the results. Equipment: 10" AA Arsenal Sealed enclosure Factory Headunit 1 Stinger LOC 1 ZED Minilith Here's the deal. Everything is connected well. I have a good ground, wires, and RCA's. The sub is getting a bit of a warble sound to it a low volumes (I'm sure it is still there when the volume is up,but the music is covering it up). In order for me to get any output in this sucker, the gain has to be almost all the way up and I don't like that. Something is wrong. Here is what I've been thinking... I really think that a four channel LOC would be fix for the overall problem with output and noise. Something like an Audio Control and others offer. Zed has a very specific way of connecting his MINI to a system using four inputs to get full signal(6db loss for each input not connected). I have all four channels hooked up by splitting the signal on the left and right outputs on the LOC. Here is why I think I might need a better LOC (or at least one with more channels).I tried using my sub out on my truck and splitting the signal to have four inputs into the MINI. I did NOT get the same full strength signal as I did using the Front and Rear RCA's. This leads me to think that this might be the problem with my friend's install (not a strong enough signal maybe) Do you think adding a four or six channel LOC may be the solution? An aftermarket unit is not an option for this install. Thanks for the help. Sorry it's so long.

LOC question
JazzScreamer replied to JazzScreamer's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Thanks for the reply. I don't remember which particular LOC it was. I do know that it is for a FORD though. The install is for an 07' Ford Edge. I will talk to my friend later this week and see when she can go the linedriver route. I emailed ZED awhile ago and hoping to get a reply from Steve on this issue. I hope this fixes things. -

Auditioning the Stereo Integrity BM 12"
JazzScreamer replied to JimJ's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
"Jazz players talk about being "in the pocket"; being right on the beat. The BM certainly was, and it always seemed to be where it should be." Great Review! The "in the pocket" quote was very well put. -
I wish I knew when they were coming out. Anyone

Maybe this is just me.... but the AA Icon in the store menu has (18) products available but there are only 12 in the store. Is this a tease or an actual number of products that is going to be available in the store. Are the AA poly's (carb's) going to be part of this? I'm just curious. What's gonna fill the 6 motre slots? Mids...... more subs...........wiring........caps.......? can anyone help? Thanks.

Sounds like a nice project. I wish.......no, really, I wish I could tell you when the AA mids will be coming out, but I don't know. There are some people on this forum that may give us a clue. Good Luck!!!

NOOB Question
JazzScreamer replied to JazzScreamer's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
So is this good......bad....or normal. Something about those old dirty records brings back some memories, but yeaj they do need a good cleanin'. -
Is it possible for me to run my back door speakers directly off the head unit if I'm already using the rear RCAs for my front stage? I know some people don't like the rear speaker thing, but I have people in my truck all the time, plus I like it that way.

NOOB Question
JazzScreamer replied to JazzScreamer's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
After all this, I'm noticing that I'm getting a static-like sound when the volume is up. When I'm getting into regular listening levels, you don't hear it, but the sound was not around before I moved things around. The noise isn't a whine or alt noise. It just sounds a bit dirty, kinda like an old record might sound. What do you guys think? -
NOOB Question
JazzScreamer replied to JazzScreamer's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
True, the rears are mostly for my passengers. I also tried using the sub-out RCA's on my Minilith's and found out that I get more output using Zed's scheme( using the front and rear RCA's). I split my sub-out connection to utilize the 4 RCA connects (4db loss for everyone that isn't used) and I think I ended up with half the power as before. Anyway, things are back to normal again. -
NOOB Question
JazzScreamer replied to JazzScreamer's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
You cannot use the front RCA's and hard wire the rear speakers on my Alpine unit (at least I wasn't able to). If you use the Front RCA's then you must use the Rear RCA's as well (if your using rear speakers). I was hoping to use my old school RF amp elsewhere, but I guess it's staying. Maybe I'll reconsider just dropping the rears. We'll see. -
Just a little reminder for those not aware.
