Low Bass Missing
JazzScreamer replied to JazzScreamer's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Is there any other way to get that low extension? This is not my car, and my friend love's the H/U, mainly because it has navigation on it. Would a better LOC be an option. I installed a Sven by Periferal (I think that's the name of it). Thank you again. -
My wife ran over a plastic bag the other day and the bag actually melted to the exhaust. I tried to peel it off but got nowhere. Any suggestions on how to get this crap off?

What are your friends running? Any systems that you've seen and like?...... This will give us a better understanding of what you want. It's very difficult for someone to tell you what is best for your install. If you can give examples of what you like and don't like, this forum will guide you in the right place. I could tell you to put a single 8" in the trunk or 4 18"s in the passenger seat, but I don't know what the goal is for your vehicle.

What are the true numbers for the Xterminator line? -
It's that simple.......It's been over a year since the website has been updated. How is business for AA without a website?

I was wondering how I can properly set and adjustable a LOC with a stock radio and aftermarket amps. Equipment: Stock H/U SVEN LOC Zed Minilith Sundown 100.4 The RCA's after the H/U are going into the Mini and split (y adaptors) to the sundown. The LOC has four individual knobs for setting the input signal. Sorry if this is not enough.

Anyone mess with the CDT mid tweets? Can't remember the model numbers. The concept and size sounds cool, but I'm wondering what the DIY realm thinks of it.
-
I'd be interested in what they can do.
-
Still need some help. I know there's some big brains in the forum that can help. PLEASE!!!!
-
How do I check for the voltage? The LOC is hard wired on one end and has RCA outputs on the other.
-
Duh....I didn't think about the crossovers on the amp. This will not work for the setup I was thinking. My bad.
-
If I use the first four channels for a front stage (woofer/tweets), would I be able to run a pair of coaxial's for the "5th and 6th" channels in the rear doors. The coax's will be 4 ohm models.
-
The manuel has a six channel config. Check it out.

I just purchased a pair of SEAS tweets and was wondering if I wrapped them with grill cloth over the metal mesh grill if this would affect the sound.

Yes....another amp noise problem
JazzScreamer posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I'm getting high pitch hum (upper midrange freq) and a warble sound coming from the sub when everything is on. 1. Amp is a Zed Mini 2. front stage amp is a sundown 100.4 3. Sven LOC for the stock H/U The high pitch hiss comes on when the amps turn on. I don't get any distortion from the speaker run by the sundown. When I turn the music up, the sub still has the high pitch noise and a warble sound that kinda goes with the music. I've check the RCA and have used two different sets to make sure. I even connected another sub to the system and get the same horrible distortion. Is this an amp problem or is there something wrong with the electrical system trying to run this amp off the stock H/U? Does the stock H/U lack the ability to run a sub? This OEM system came with an amp and sub. I did not use the wires on the back of the H/U that are assigned to the sub stage. I connected the front and rear channels to the LOC to get the signal to the Zed amp. I need some serious help. I want to get this done correctly ASAP and I'm running out of ideas. Thanks guys. -
Yes....another amp noise problem
JazzScreamer replied to JazzScreamer's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Well, After much work, I figured out the problem. The Amp is bad. I switch it with another Mini and everything worked great. We will have to send the amp back to see what the problem is. I DID have noise even after I unplugged the RCA's. I was wrong on my previous post. Anyone know what the problem with the amp might be? Thanks. -

I've moved the ground twice and had the same result. I actually have the sundown and and the Zed on the same ground right now. No noise from the Sundown, but noise from the Zed. -
Ford Edge

I'm not sure what you call these types of clips/fastener, but I need some. Anyone know where I can purchase a few.
-
I'm replacing a friends factory front door speakers and running all after market stuff minus the H/U. Is it possible for me to use a few feet of the factory speaker wire and them solder some 14ga wire to run to the aftermarket amps. I know this sounds really crappy, but this SUV (Ford Edge) is a real sh&t when it comes to going from the door into the cab.

Tell us more about Chaos..

Sorry I didn't explain. These are clips/fasteners from interior panels. You'll find these types in most vehicles. They fit onto a plastic part of the panel/trim and get pushed in to the metal slit. I'll try and get some pics up later.
