Porting typically has to be scheduled a week or more in advance. This can be expedited though. Are you porting a land line or wireless?

Saint's look good in the pre season. Hopefully it lasts lol.

Most decent HU's will have xover settings for your highs. I know most pioneers do. Once I put my zxi150.4 on mine, I had to raise my xover point to 80-100hz due to the amount of power. This was to prevent the mid bass drivers from bottoming out. Grated you don't need that much power, but I needed more volume. Also I have pretty big doors so that doesn't help with running high power in stock location. If you're running a highs amp, you should be able to set it to the HPF setting and raise it to the point you need to. Each setup is different and may not even have to worry about it. Just throwing in my .02

Welllllllllllllllllllll No audio updates. But I picked up a fleabay CAI for the truck. For the most part the kit isn't bad considering the price(80 shipped) One problem is the air filter is too big for the space you have to cram it in. It's something that belongs on a full size diesel truck lol. I also picked up a bulk pack of roadkill expert for 96 shipped. Haven't used any of it yet though. Awesome deadener Moar boxes Hard to tell how big it is. This might give you an idea haha Heat shield lined up. Had to drill a hole to mount the bottom up. Black couplers would have been better imo.

Depending on how much power, you'll have adjust the low pass xover point higher. But they're very clean sounding.

bass reconstruction processor?
KyleBrown replied to Briggiboy33's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
It wasn't just "bassless" music... It's music where perhaps the bass is "weak" and desire to have more added to it. No way I can hear it? Glad you know what I can and can't hear lol.- 20 replies

bass reconstruction processor?
KyleBrown replied to Briggiboy33's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Only if he has a DAT. Umm, no. Better recordings or different music. No such thing as stage when it comes to subs either...unless of course you have them in a stereo pair up front. Those processors aren't meant to restore bass or reconstruct bass, they are meant to add bass where it doesn't exist. Confusing to me why you'd want bassless music with bass. And OP, why even add an EQ or replace your HU? "Clean up" is not something an EQ can do. If you have an anomaly to tame or pull down then perhaps. Most people fall into the more adjustments is better and end up with worse sound. I knew your reply would be attacking mine lol. There's reasons why some people modify music. They feel there should be more bass in certain songs or mid or highs..... I've come across numerous songs where I didn't like how they were mastered. Highs and lows. Better recordings? Most anything you download now is 320kbps or 256kbps sample rates. To go beyond that, you need the original format which isn't always available. That being said, 320kbps is fine for most people, which most people can't even hear the difference between 256 and 320, I believe I do and the difference from 320 to lossless. Also, substage has been adopted as a term just like SQL has. They're both there, they're both commonly used so deal with it. So ummm, yes, more substage if you want more out of certain songs. That's why I use an LC-1.- 20 replies

bass reconstruction processor?

Aren't tapes considered digital? If the bass is too quite on some songs, you need more sub stage.- 20 replies

I'd have to say 39ish -
I'll take 12s in proper enclosure over 15s in a cramped enclosure period.

started very interesting.

Not too much progress. Serviced the rear diff, oil change and trying to figure out how to stop the drivers door from rattling lol. Still haven't sent the Zed amp off for repair either. How ever I just ordered a CAI with heat shield and a bulk pack of stinger roadkill expert. I have a lot I need to get done this week, I'm going to try and make it to the 2nd day of a show called siknic. I'll be running mod 1-2k and hopefully put up a 55. As soon as the other 18 shows up, I'll begin the wall... Cleaning it up. 138,xxx miles and never serviced. While I was up at my dad's shop I snapped a few pictures. This is the shop race car. 502 with a solid roller, 11.5:1. Runs low 10s pretty consistent. Another project up there. Gotta love an old school mopar.

Really nice work man. Definitely impressive. I love the color choices. One thing though, I don't know what people get so stuck on "4 layer/8 layer" Winding thickness accounts for more imo. You can have two 8 layer coils but one with a thicker winding and you might end up with double the thickness. Now get it installed. -
