pop up links annoy the shit out of me.. -
That should work fine, just make sure you set your low pass. You most likely don't have a subsonic though...

AQ 3500 or Crescendo Audio BC3500D?
KyleBrown replied to kuykendall54's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
You'll need a batt in back. The AQ is stronger 4300rms But I'd go with the BC3500, so if you upgrade later on, get a second and still have a good match. Get D1's -
Gave you a rating now I'm going to spam your thread with mine. http://us.movember.com/mospace/3284925/ Good luck man.

Yea he's a good dude. Definitely someone to look up to for motivation

Look pretty Gnarly!
-
that's pretty serious
-
damn, that looks rough.

I know he does a lot of work on it. It's brutal as hell and it's crazy that it's only 4 15s. He's kind of an inspiration for me, I've dealt with some serious shit and still have little use of my left arm.

It's his truck. Just how he sits... If you pay attention you'll see why. Super cool dude.
-
no, not 45% lol And you need lower port velocities in a quiter environment that makes sense.

Looks kick ass man!

I also wanted to tell everyone thank you for the comments. I looked back at a few posts

Looking like I might trade my DC5k and some cash for two BC3500's so I can up my power again. running the DC5k @1ohm on these isn't cutting it at all. I think I have some gnarly rise. I'm barely getting 2" p to p I have no idea when IA will have more amps in stock... Long term plan will be two IA40.1's strapped @.8ish probably running on a 14v setup. I'm really happy with the current sound, just needs more power My front stage is falling apart though blown tweet, blown mid, blown woofer

ca.com is a fuckfest of retards pucking goats. Welcome to SSA

It's my understanding that in fluid dynamics, round pipes are typically 45% more efficient than square... Most of the port velocity things I've read are based around home audio design. It seems like you need a slightly higher port velocity in vehicles or maybe it's just a trend. When I went from the 12.5" port to the 11.375" port a few things changed. One obviously was box internal volume and tuning.. I went from a 38hz tune to a 33hz tune. I think I need more power to properly judge this smaller port, but I'm quite happy with it. Port velocity on paper is higher, but I haven't really noticed a difference. Box went from 9.5 cubes to 10cubes. It's slightly higher now since I inverted the subs. Guess I'm just rambling on....

opinions on sub and port firing direction
KyleBrown replied to 1two3's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
Personally I say sub and port back. Seems like you have a tall roof. -
Yea I wasn't here for just votes. I enjoy the forums, even if the guys here are SSA nut huggers lol

3k for amps, 2500 for subs, 500(iirc) for comps, two xs power batts of my choice(D3100s) and a 400 mechman credit. No SOTM for me though, not complaining Just waiting for the new wardens to drop. I'm ridiculously excited too. The only new subs I've had in the last four years, were the SA12's I picked up and those were B-stock lol. My teammate and I are coming up with something to do for SBN. I'm really wanting to wall. But I really need secondary transportation for that. Might reconfigure how it now. Just get subs forward and port up.
