Can't wait to see it all finished. Really liking the looks of the amplifiers.

I would do a simple ported enclosure over a band pass for either set of woofers.
-
Maybe my mind is as sharp as the edge of town right now, but I just don't understand what is going on at all.
-
Thanks man. I had to take it with my crappy cell camera.

From what I have read, you seem to want a loud SQ build more so than SPL. If you listen to more music than just tones, that would be my conclusion. From my experience, which there are others on this forum who know way more than I do, a true SPL setup is designed for burps that last only seconds. Again, not an expert for all out SPL builds, but I have built SQ systems that put up some amazing numbers. I did a friends wall with two 15'' SP4's on an NS1 that does a 154.1 @43hz. I think that is an amazing number for an SQ setup. IMHO

I too have a nice sounding car system, and I smoke salmon like a boss.

I have better numbers firing my subs forward with the trunk sealed from the cabin than I ever have firing them towards the rear or upwards.

Just a question that I have been pondering here. When I build my wall I know I will have to beef up my suspension. Question is, should I do airbags or just lift blocks? Any suggestions are much appreciated.

If you bow out of this site, well good luck to you. Although I don't think anybody is going to peel the skin off your nuts too bad for this. Brother using your account or not, I wouldn't just bow out.

So i'm guessing you haven't built huge setups for your friends, and genuinely need advice? Sometimes things happen, and if your brother did use your account, i'm sure the people on here including myself can look past this and help you in any way we can.

Thanks for the advice. I think I need to do a bit more research before jumping into this project.

Maybe this may help. I am going to be doing a wall with 2 18'' Mayhem's in my SRT4, and it will be quite a bit more weight than my stock suspension can handle. I don't want my tires to get eaten by the wheel wells. I need to find a good solution to prevent any problems from the weight of all the gear including five D3100's that will be going in the trunk along with the weight of the wall. Just the rear is all I am concerned about.

All you would need for that sub is a simple ported enclosure. How you fire it is completely up to you.
-
I'm not trying to be a dick, but in this video you said a shop built this enclosure for you? Why didn't you just build your own? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXKy9T9n4rw&feature=plcp

I have paid for everything I have in my car by building systems for other people. I have made many great friends, learned tons of hard lessons, and in the end I have one of the gnarliest trunk setups in my area. It has taken me years to get this far, and if a Joe Schmo like myself can do it, you can too. Welcome and good luck.

Looks massive with the smaller basket. Very nice! -
should i buy a power cap or another battery
Jason Witt replied to thegrad1112's topic in Newbie Sign IN
I had a bad battery which caused bad voltage drops. Luckily I caught it in time before it really got hairy and ruined my rear batts. After I changed it out, voltage sits around 13.3v at full tilt. I am running 5k on 12v electrical, and have zero issues now. -
Very nice!

Inline fuses
Jason Witt replied to Pimp-Juice's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I usually fuse to my amplifiers total current draw. It's simple to figure out what size fuse to use. Total wattage divided by total voltage. Ohm's Law has never failed me, at least I do not blow fuses.
