Electrical Calculator
Jason Witt posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I read quite a few questions regarding electrical supply and demand so I decided to post this link to help figure out any electrical dilemma you may be having. http://www.the12volt.com/ohm/ohmslawcalculators.asp -
If you turn a blind eye to this kind of feedback, or pose under an assumed name, don't expect to be a name for very much longer. He may not care, I could give a shit it's not my money, and if people continue to be dissatisfied he won't be counting anything but debt collection calls. Way to run a business and conduct yourself in a public light.

Bad battery or alt
Jason Witt replied to Elrey7698's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Is your belt in good condition? Tight enough to not slip? -
Dual 2 wired in series parallel for a 2 ohm load for two drivers. Is this correct knowing that ill have one amp per sub?? Then you will need D1's wired in series.

Are you going SQ or SPL?

You would have right around 300 amps of current draw. I would pick up two batteries, absorbed glass mat sealed types. One for under the hood, and one for the trunk. Also, I assume you have big 3 done?

If it helps, when we get his car done we will have an entire build log and vids to watch.

Bad battery or alt
Jason Witt replied to Elrey7698's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Bad cell in the battery would be my answer. -
Not defending at all, I'm just trying to understand the purpose of this thread. To warn people of terrible CS from Skar Audio.

If the guy wanted to clear his name against these allegations to protect his business he would do so. I understand what you are saying pioneer, but until he steps up to the plate you are defending someone who might end up making you look like a jackass.

need help!!!
Jason Witt replied to tbear55's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Your amplifiers could have been damaged when you blew your sub. Make sure all of your connections are tight, and check the wiring to your subs. If it's a new head unit and rca's, I doubt it is signaling unless you have a defective receiver. Check your fuses as well. -

Not knowing what you are doing and claiming you do makes your products inferior because you won't have the experience or knowledge to back them and provide accurate CS. Anybody can slap a sticker on something and call it their own, and if you want to do that at least know what you are selling to people before you get a head too big for your hat because this is what happens. Unfortunately in today's world you can attract flies with shit which we all know is cheaper than honey.

I have been waiting to start his build for awhile. The last wall was loud as hell. 154 on music or tone can't remember, 2 15'' SP4's, 1 NS1. So yeah guys this will be one to watch!

2 amps for 2 subs?
Jason Witt replied to spare69's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Yea i was thinking about that, but if you consider that wiring 2 subs at 1 ohm for 1 amp, compared to running 2 amps and having both of them wired at 0.5 ohms, i could get louder. I agree with yuo though about the power hunger. I was thinking about getting some kinetiks for that idk You most likely wouldn't have an audible difference between .5 ohm and 1 ohm. I am assuming you have D1 coils which 2 subs can only be wired up to 1 ohm together. I don't think they recommend anything below 2 ohms with the amplifiers strapped. -
high voltage on a budget
Jason Witt replied to rowdyful7's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I think doing your big 3 upgrade with 0 gauge, (and power run) with some good solid grounds would be sufficient. If you have voltage issues after that, a second battery would be an option. -

Do you have your big 3 done? That would be the FIRST place to start. -

Too bad he hasn't replied to this thread to defend himself and business. I guess that shows how much he really cares.
-
I kind of feel bad for Kevin. He may be overwhelmed and just can't run his business well enough to satisfy all. Also if you are going to be in this business, have your specs accurate for customers.

I asked him a question on one of his youtube videos and he deleted my comment and went on with his BS.

Wiring RF 4x6 with RF P1T-S Tweets PLS HELP!
Jason Witt replied to Truconcept's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
I would advise you to use crossovers between the 4x6 and the tweeter as well.
