Yeah there were a variety of things on there I didn't know which one applied to me. I need a recone for the 05 re xxx in a 12" with dual 2ohm vc
-
I've emailed a few times about getting a recone but I've never got a response. Can anyone help me?
-
I think 4 of these and a SAZ1500....will make my day.....I will get 4 of them and port them!
-
I haven't log onto here at SSA for a long time..... But I just got a SAZ1500 from DB-r today and I am very satisfied with it and with his CS. Cosmetically the amp looks good, there is a scratch on the bottom of it that's all. But besides that I'm very pleased with it, especially with the 1year warranty for $350. You can't even buy one used for $350. I just gotta bust out the DMM on it. The power output is identical to my old RF T10001BD amp.

The only thing is that I sux at box design. I can cut, glue, put it together but I need someone to give me the right plans for the planned subs. Right now with that 15" BL I only got 140.5db@43hz at the dash on a TL car off. I know box design is everything.

Yeah, I think 8s are crazy! I did the 15" in my Scion because no one has done it, or very few has done it. Now I have no trunk space and the novelty has wore off. Now if I can work a pair of 8s into the 40s that would be awesome, I know it can be done but it has to be done with the right box.
-
Don't tell the Fi folks I am thinking of moving away from my 15" BL...lol I've been doing my research on 8" subs, and I think I kinda settled on the RL-i8s. I am thinking of a pair of 8s dual 4ohm, wired for a final load of 4ohm for daily driving so the amp will put out about 750watts at 4ohm. The amp is a RFT10001BD. Do you think both of those subs can handle a total of 1500watts@1ohm? I guess for burps and bass race? How would the subs like it in a ported box at lets say 1.6cuft tuned to 32-35hz? I want to choose this sub over the Kicker L7 8", just because I don't like mainstream subwoofers. And this way I can gain my trunk space back and spare tire!!! That 15" sub took up the whole trunk in my scion tc.
-
I am not sure, all I remember is on the VC itself you have written RE SX on it. Ahhh actually come to think about it I remember when I did first get the SX I had it in a 1.5cuft box and it sounded like shhhh...t Back to the drawing boards.

I know, I know there is no definite answer at all to this question. Again I know!!! LOLOL Currently running a 15" BL w/ a RF T10001BD amp. Ok loud not the greatest but the best I can do with my limited trunk space of a scion tc. I whined before here about loosing my trunk space currently! I am sitting here and out the corner of my eye sits a 12" RE SX sub that I just reconed with Fi parts. Originally with that RE SX sub it was in a 2.0cuft box tuned to 32hz and I hit 139db with a TL mic (amp running at 2ohm so roughly 900-1000watts). With my current box with that 15" it sits in a 3.5cuft box, and I don't have my spare tire anymore or any trunk space! With the 15" BL I got a 141db w/TL mic. mehh. Question is, what do you think that 12" in a 1cuft sealed box (poly fill) and seeing "on a good day" 1500watts (if i'm lucky with my electrical) what kind of numbers can I see? Low huh? What have ya guys seen personally that people have got with a 12" in a smalled sealed box hit? In this way I am trying to look for the best of both worlds...and I can regain my trunk space back.
-
I would say low 140s. I just want to be able to wang it when needed, and when to shut some punk kid up!
-
I was thinking.... Right now I have a 15" BL with an RF T10001BD amp, its loud, very loud. I want a more sensible setup but attempt to keep the same sub output, I don't think its possible. I want small box, small amp, and still be able to do 140s. I know thats not possible. I just want to reclaim my trunk space back and my spare tire and jack!!! With that huge box in my tC there is no more trunk space!!!! Now I am getting kinda tired of hauling around a 100lbs box... Ok I'm done ranting....you may return to your regularly schedule program.

Which main ground wire are you talking about???
-
You see every connection was solid. That ground wire is OEM, never touched by me! Everything was fine with this setup for the past 2+ years. Also considering that the chassis ground cable is 8 gauge, and trying to support every electrical features in the car, and it just got overloaded. I don't think that there could be a short or else one of the main fuses would have popped.
-
the power wire does have a fuse 12" away from the bat. So yeah I dont know how a ground wire burned up. But considering it is the chassis ground, who knew?? No fuses blew... And what do you mean if my system was setup right? This system is the same system that is in my car ever since oct 04, only things that changed was the subs, throughout the years. If something would have happen something should of many years ago. I believe it was just a freak of nature thats all!
