You don't have to order it. Go to walmart or any store that has a section for adhesives and get Loctite. This is the right stuff. Just make sure you look on the back to see if it says a ingredient like cyanocr.... It's CA glue and that's what you would get from FI.

It's for daily. He doesnt need to put the extra strain on his equipment for the extra 500 rms that he wont even hear. Keep it at 1 ohm.

How come your switching it up to an 18? What vehicle is it going to be in?
-
Well he posts a lot of wrong info though right? That's more with what I'm talkin about. I wasn't on here when dc power did that lol You are right. This could be a whole misunderstanding. Well see what Kevin has to say though, if he does say anything...

Very good question, that is being addressed. There is another issue that I cannot state publicly as it is not on our website, so it is not my business to so. Pm me and let me know so it's not public hahaha jkkk that's fine. I was just wondering why they're on here but there's more too it. Ive personally never had a problem with him, but I don't like the things I hear about him. I like when he does post stuff and people on here tear him apart lol

Hey Aaron, how come there is a skar section if he has sketchy business practices and posts useless incorrect info?

I have this^^ I also have the spool of solder wire. How do you exaclty solder ring terminals on to the wire? Do you melt the actual ring terminal or connect both of them together with the solder wire? I'm don't have much experience with soldering. I am going to ask the local shop if they can crimp the wires for me though.

I love it when Skar introduces a new product or updates it with info on here, becuase you guys just tear the guy apart lol it's hilarious. I don't know why he would post incorrect info when he knows right away you guys will point out everything that's wrong.

By solder kit I meant the little heating thing that melts the solder. It's my dads and I was just going to use that. Are there different types of solder and solder gun things? I might do that and see if I can take it up to the local audio shop and hopefully they can do it for me. I mean it's really not that much to do.

So I got my 60 ft of 2/0 wire along with 15 1/0-2/0 ring terminals from welding supply. Very happy with the price and the shipping was extremely fast. I ordered yesterday around 3pm and it was here today at 12pm lol I do live only one state away so that's probably why it was so fast haha Shit was HEAVY!! My little brother thought it was funny to put his hand in the way. Any tips on how to attach ring terminals to the wire? I don't have a crimper, but I got a soldering kit. Does the solder wire matter? I have 2 size wires, small and big; should I use the bigger one?

He's rebuilding the 70a one?

Strapped BC2000ds on Xcons
EPerez replied to R3dt34rz's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
2 ohms is where your going to want/need it. Both amps will be at 1 ohm each. -
Yea I know that why I didn't attach the top at my dads. I need to sand a bit more. I'm going to do that either today or tomorrow.

You won't hear any difference between 3500 rms and 5500rms. You need to at least double the power to get a 3db gain and that's only a slight audible gain. I have 2 SSA zcons off 2 crescendo bc2000s. I don't need 5k+ on them. Will our subs take it? Yes but they don't need it. A crescendo bc3500 will be plenty for them daily. Just make sure the box is good. That's more important than the amount of power you put on them.
-
You won't hear 3500 to 5500. Go with the 3500 and you can use the cash saved towards the box which will really matter.
-
Crescendo amps are rated at 13.8v. You really don't need that much power for the btls if it's for daily though.

Thanks man and Its very hard to be patient!!

Sweet merciful baby jesus on a pogo stick! You could eat a bowl of cereal out of the top of her ass hahahah

Thanks Alton! I know I can't wait get everything finished lol I have led lights all through out my car and I can make them change colors but I usually leave it on red because my dome lights are red. It will look good like that at night. So there's been a few incidents lol First, the Crescendo C1100.4 is on national backorder till Feb 2nd. Which isn't too bad. Second, my order at welding supply somehow didn't go through and I thought it did. I was expecting it to be shipped here yesterday, but it wasn't lol I just reordered it today. Lastly, yesterday I got a returned call from Crescendo about my Mezzo component set. He told me that the their shipment pickup for the comps and the pwxs wasn't picked up from China for some reason I can't remember. Well it's China's New Year and they party for a while hahaha. He said they won't be shipped from China for like 20 something days. Really sucks and I was offered a refund, but Crescendo has been good to me, so I'll wait it out! Little bummer about there things, but it'll be alright. Gives me more time to make box better.

Wow ^^^

Haha yea Aaron. I forgot you did that with your dog too! So I got everything together except for the top on it. I wanted to paint the inside since it would be easier without the top on. I used primer to get the port and inner baffle ready to paint Now the port and inner baffle is all good like I want. Well actually I'm probably going to go put another coat or 2 on it. and the fusion looking really dirty it's so crappy out here because of the rain and melting snow. Also my dad lives on a dirt road which doesnt help at all lol

Thanks everyone!! I owe it to my parents for not lettin me be a bad kid and for always pushing me. I havent been able to work on box as much as I wanted to because of school. I do have some pics loading up to photobucket as soon as they're done I'll post them up!
-
Yea they should set it right and you will be fine with your amp now.
-
You will be fine. Just keep an eye on the sub and watch the gain. Make sure you have a well designed box too.
