One of my close friends is a builder and hes gonna be helping me and guiding me along the way. But, any suggestions you can give would be useful and appreciated. Go with a ported box that is suitable for them with proper port area and all that. You should be good if he builds good.

Congrats man! I've hit the ssa store a few times
-
Being this is your first big build I suggest a regular ported box. I can help you design a box and everything. I'm only 19 and when I was 16 I didn't have anyone to help me so I wasted a lot of money doing things that I wasn't told not to do.

X2 How come you're using a 4th order band pass?
-
Nice man! Zcons get very loud!
-
You have to have those or it's not a zombie car
-
I wire the remote to the fuse box and the other 2 to the amps power/ground.
-
Ha this is awesome! I wanna do this lol looks good so far. You should put a V snow plow on the front and a stick of spikes coming from the rims
-
I don't know how you guys are able to do build insane enclosures. The wall builds I see are just crazy sometimes. Nice skills!

They are beast subs. In the right box I think they should be louder. My friend is buying one of mine to replace 2 12" Polk subs.

What do you consider to be SSA's SQ sub?

I've had the Xcon/Zcon and heard the gcon. All actually sound amazing. The gcon sounded so smooth. OMG was it nice sounding. The Xcon is just in its own class. It's just sex to the ears -
I got the nendo bc2000 powering two 12's now.I wasn't paying any mind when ordering the icons I got the dual 2's instead of 1's.its pretty hard on my electrical which is still stock for now, thinkin of chnging amps soonDon't switch amps, just buy another bc2000, run each sub to it's own amp and run at 1 ohm. That's what I would do for sure. For that much power, I would try to fit two d3100s. That should keep you in good shape. That's not a bad idea at all.

Pretty sure when we were working through ideas the 8" port would fit on face with the 12s. I don't think the port was going to be able to long enough for it to be straight. You might have to have an 8" 90 degree elbow. Those can get pretty expensive.

If you give me your max dimensions I can see what would be best with the space you have.

DC m2 lvl 3? Fi BL? Fi Q? Fi SSD fully loaded?
EPerez replied to Whatshisface176's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
I would say the bls. They will be plenty loud and to the majority they will sound great so unless you're a very anal person for sq then they should fit your application. -
I said that because different subs require different boxes. Meaning certain subs might need different amounts of port area, alternating the ending cubic feet.
-
Just wants what's best for you man. And Quentin can do that lol
-
What are the dimensions you can use? How do you know it's 5 cubes? Make sure the dimensions can get through the trunk opening.

I'm thinkin an Xcon 15 or maybe some sa12s or gcon 12s. These would all do well with your music choice as long as the box design is good. What are your max dimensions to use?
