You can put any amp on any sub. Just because the amp is rated at X at Y ohms doesn't mean it will always be putting out that much power. Gain can be set correctly and he will be all good -

I cant give them nearly as much room as they want. not even the 12's Sundown X's like little boxes and you gotta love that excursion. Sundown Xs do not like small boxes. Id say 2.25 minimum. 2.75 to 3 is good for them. I was going I put mine on 3.25 each but selling them soon. -

First, 4th order is NOT a bandpass. 4th describes the roll off of the enclosure. A simple ported box is a 4th order. The rest of your babble has me convinced you have been extremely confused by others. You obviously don't care to hear that nor will you do anything different no matter what we say, so that being said I think you should do a 3:1 ratio and just build your box.I'll give you another hint into reality though which you missed the first time. Anything relying on a rule of thumb doesn't always hold true, ie, using a ratio for a box is absurd. Enjoy yours.I've been waiting for you to come in lol

and you mention bullshit advice, show me were you have world records at on youtube or your current setup, because those guys do .Haha then why the FUCK are you asking us? Go ask those guys
-
ok now i see, you boviously dont understand how 4th orders work. 90 % of music , rap, hip hop, decaf, r&b are in 20-50 hz range. you dont ride around listening to music at 50hz and up. thats the whole purpose of a 4th order to give you a wide range of music. most 4th orders range from 25-45hz which is a excellent range. some of the loudest guys in the world have 4th orders that are very musical and can play wahtever they want at any frequency and do it loudly. That's weird because my ported box does that same frequency range.
-
Well 4th order band pass enclosures don't really have a wide frequency range. Which is what you want right? A ported enclosure should have a better frequency range that you want.
-
I know I agree.

I would say a minimum of 60in2 of port area with 70-80in2 of port area being where we would like it.

A smaller sub in an optimal box is almost always better than a larger sub crammed into a small not well designed box. I'd take the smaller sub anyway over the larger sub in that situation. Box size is on the small side, not bad, but the bad part is the lack of port area. Try taking off the rubber surround that goes around the trunk. Also take off the molding around the trunk opening. I actually got inches from doing this.
-
It can be put in, but I wouldn't. It is definitely not optimal. Is it possible to switch your order to a 12"?? How long ago did you order. This is why it's best to measure first then buy the sub(s) that fit the space.

Sounds like a bad design/box. If you mainly want 26-34 then tune around 29 but you will lose a lot of output around 40+. Also you don't really hear 26hz you feel it more. -
First question, why do you want a 4th order band pass? Second question, how do you know they are built for 4th order band pass enclosures? Not saying they won't do good in them but what makes you think they are?

Yea that's a good idea. Kind of confused on what you mean lol -
Partial deafening if exposed to high decibels for a long period of time.

My bad I forgot you work at a shop.

I put the wire in the terminal and hammer the shit out of the with a large hammer. I have been doing that since day one and has always worked good for me. I can yank on the wire and it won't budge. Nice free way to get it done.

I don't but this will be in the new fusion. I'll have to wait until I get that to do what you said.
