I just bought a used 21" warden from Mr. Bojangles. He's got 1 left still. I'm going to need help designing a box. I have an 03 trailblazer lt that its going in. I also have a crescendo bc2k that I'm gonna run at 2ohms because the sub is a D1 until I get a xs 3100 then ill drop it down to .5 ohm. I'll have a deka 9a31 up front and the 3100 in the back. I have the big 3 and a stock 150 amp alt. My max dimensions are 44w x 27d x 21h. Warden Series 21 Sealed Not Recommended Ported 7.5 cubes - 10.0 cubes, 90 - 160 Inches of Port, 32-37 Hz Average: 8.5 cubes, 120 inches, 32-37 Hz If someone can draw up a design that would be great. Whatever size box you think is best ill go with that and also I was thinking around 33-34hz tuning. Also I think sub up/port back is best for daily right? This is going to he just a daily driver with no competing at all. I listen to rap and hip hop. If there are any questions please ask. Thank you very much!

I know that low tuning helps a lot.

I had a ap 1800 running my hdc3 15 but when I bought the crescendo bc2000 I felt it ran so much cleaner and better. I ran it at 1 ohm. -
Yea jus add it. It'll go with the least path of resistance which is the larger wire.

I got all my big 3 wire from Knukonceptz. Well i got all my wire from there.

Humming noise from subwoofer after i added new amp.
EPerez replied to Briggiboy33's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Someone told me, i think bigjon, to stick a 3.5 mm jack and plug that into where the rca cables go in on the amp. Then play music and see if it still hums. -

Try switching back to the old amp to see if that one works or not, if possible. -

I've kinda had the same issue. I've read that a "ground loop" makes it do that. My problem was that my head units pre amp outputs are broke. Read about the ground loop. -
That looks amazing, me and my dad have always wanted a salt water setup.

subs not playing right, sound hollow
EPerez replied to EPerez's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
That would be the RCA connections on the back that we're referring to. They use a pico fuse to protect that circuit and when something happens and it blows that little fuse the noise and other problems are the result. Did they say anything about being able to repair it? How old is it? I mean, if it's 5 yrs old and you only paid $100 for it in the first place (for example) it's probably not worth the time, trouble and money to send it off for repair. It's only 3 months old and I'm sending it to a pioneer service center to be fixed under warranty. -

I jus bought 2 kicker comps 12s jus to have till i get my 21 in and when I put them in they sounded hollow and wouldn't play right. I had my friends jls in my car 2 days ago and they worked totally fine. I didn't change anything except put subs in. I called crescendo to see if my amp had blown and he said it must be a signal messed up somehow. The subs I know work becaise we hooked both sets in my friends car and they worked fine in his. What could be the problem? -
which one would you choose?
EPerez replied to tkev77's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I also agree on the aq 1200 but also if you get the crescendo bc2k then you can wire down to 4 ohms and still get plenty of power, 850 rms, and still make those babies hit and if you decide to upgrade or add to more you can run it at 1 ohm. Jus look around and you can find one under 300 shipped. Also like impious said, 850 rms to 1200 won't be an audible difference. -

I called pioneer and they said it probably has something to do wit the pre amp outputs. -

Should I ground my amp and my second batt in diff areas or is that not the problem. -

I cant get to the ecoustics link thay bigjon put up. The subs worked fine with the rcas thru my phone so its not the rcas. If its my head unit should i send it to pioneer or would i be able to fix it? -
