I'd be down for doing it in Ft. Dodge. Did my first comp there. I was thinking like early summer for a date, so people are out of school and we all have some time. I work full time so it would defineatly have to be a weekend thing. Toss around some dates and ask around to your fellow bassheads not on the forum. -
Hi all, I'm in the market for a new amplifier, I'd like to see something that will do 2-2500 rms and prefer something that will run @ .5 ohm. I've ran American bass VFL's in the past and have had good luck with them. Does anyone have any suggestions otherwise? I'd like to keep it around the 4-500 dollar mark.

Bassaholic, Gotcha I've never used either AQ or DC. What is everyones thoughts on powerbass XTA 2250? I haven't heard anything but good on them. I can get the AQ DC or PB for about the same money -

Thanks for all the input guys, I want to be able to run @ .5 ohm to help fight box rise and to stay flexible for multiple sub set ups. I've heard mixed reviews about the hifonics and the rubi but they defintely fit the bill. That saz-2500 would be great but it severly cuts into my sub budget. I used to have a U.S. MD3D and loved it but sold it like a dummy. Thinking baout doing a DC 2K as they are getting great reviews. -
I used to compete in USACi alot And got to meet alot of cool people but It was all about the competition, Thats fun and all But The forum atmosphere is way cooler. That way people don't get discouraged if the have a pair of 10"s. It's all about audio to me. It's my favorite hobby and I have fun showing off my system and Helping people when I can.

Awesome it is a nice campus down there. I was thinking of trying to set up a meet for all of us in the region, Iowa Nebraska and Mn. I don't have a term lab anymore but it would be a fun time to meet eveybody and do demos. If Anyone is interested from the area let me know.

I don't attend the winter games but I fish up there from time to time. We should set up a northwest Iowa meet and demo session, I'm waiting on taxes to come back and my new build will start.

Check out Welding cable, It's way cheaper and does the trick. Everyone Has very solid points, I've found the biggest help is Meter time and experimenting like said above. I've gained over 3 db in the past just from trying the above mentioned ideas. Take your time and have fun learning with it. Good Luck. I'm sure you will get there and then some.

Does anyone have any experience with these? Or the line. I used to run The old SPL's SPL160s and the Rubi 1002. Did very well with them. I know epsilon owns them now. Do they do rated, Efficient, Will they run at .67 or .5 Ohm? any and all help is appreciated. Price wise and Numbers they look good but after Carrying and running American Bass and Power bass Amplifiers it's kinda hard to deviate.
