Can 't decide. I was in Sound Advise listening to the demo speakers, wanted to check out the Clarion decks. I coulda sworn the W7 was hittin with the Z6s until I realized it was just the components that were playing! Nice stuff. How do the 307s compare to this?
-
If the 327 will come out, should I wait?
-
Where can I find the specs and dimensions Nick? If it can fit in my Accord, I definitely wanna be fully SI driven.
-
The 12s are gonna start shipping out tommorow!!!! What shipping method?
-
If i need to pay for insurance, I would. Please let me know. =) I just want my Magnum to get here in perfect shape.

I purchased a Dynamat Xtreme Trunk Kit from a local store. The lid of my trunk rattles like CWAZY when the bass drops low. I want to know from those who have experience, is it advisable to do the whole trunk .. lid and sidepanels? Friend advised me to put multilayers on the lid only.
-
Pony you ordered a 12?
-
Couldnt help but to ask. Box ready, amp mounted to box, 4 gauge flowing everywhere, trunk is fully Dynamated (Xtreme), CDs are burned and car is clean. I going with another 12" and maybe the 307 component set. I am not sure if I can fit that stuff on my door panels.

Hifonics 1000D vs Rockdord 800.2
eviljin posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Should I keep my old amp (Rockford 800.2) pushing 200 watts X 2 RMS (800 X 1 bridged) or my brand new Hifonics 1000D. Hard decision. =\ Is the Hifonics 1000 X 1 RMS? Or 1000 max power? I think my Hifonics can run more stable at 1 ohm. -
Nick, pony, you guys made this a great experience. From the thrill, confusion and to all the planning, you stood by your customers. Thanks! I gonna go with 2 12's now. =)
-
Good enough?!!!! The inner dimensions are approximately: Height: 12.5" Depth: 11.5" Width: 19.0" Overall volume is somewhere around 1.58 cubes before displacement.
-
MDF 3/4" with some ol' glue and nails, is that what you were asking Nick? Everything I did was based on I8aPony's and your advise. Now about pollyfill, how much should I put in there?
-
My enclosure engineer keeps on insisting to make it 1.25 cubes. Couldn't break every1's advise here to go 1.5 after displacement. WTF is he recommending 1.25? This fukker is also not concerned about the thickness of the MDF, I cant remember how many times I reminded him to make it 3/4" inch. How thick are they usually? If it requires trimming to make it 3/4" of an inch, that f00ker probably wont even bother. =\ I think Ill get another one from Gnome. What is his site's URL?

The 15" MAGs arrived yesterday (Saturday, March 13). Give Nick a week or so to test the whole batch before he can ship them out. Lets just assume that he will finish testing/breaking-in by next Friday. Give another week for SI to pack, label and deliver to UPS for those that were pre-ordered. So theoretically, for 15" D2s, they will not be shipped prior to two weeks from now. In addition, give UPS another week or so to deliver your MAG safely. =)

Head unit is Alpine 7995. This sux, 4 volts input only. If I upgrade to an Eclipse CD8053(8V/16V preout), this amp would not be advisabe in this case.
-
Thinking of getting a line driver to get a bit louder. My amp is an Alpine MRVF340 (V12). How much can this amp take from my head unit's pre-outs?
-
Nick ignore the last reply, I completely understand it. My box without brackets and driver is around 1.5. I guess after displacement it would fall somewhere around 1.2-1.3. I am happy that it complies with your parameters and recommendations. =)
-
who wait Nick, .4 cubes???????? or .4 cubes over 1.5?
-
I had my box done today, and this issue was brought up. The designer insisted on having it 1.25 cubes, and I kept resisting. I specifically instructed him to have it 1.5 after displacement. So what can we expect from the differences(0.5 - 1.5 cubes)??
-
I will set my gain halfway.... my system is intended for daily driving.
-
Nick, please give some guidelines on how to properly wire your D2 to this amp.
-
Nick please change my order from 15" to 12". LoL. The box is already here for the 12"s. Thanks!

Will this be good enough for a Mag 15"? I want it real tight.
-
Yes, they will be sealed. What happens if I go more? lets say 2.5.
