ive got a 15 btl, i live in the rockwall/rowlett area though (just east of dallas)

ok, well my box broke today, so now i have even more incentive to build a new one. this time i plan on using aero ports that way i can change it out from a daily driver to spl... im not sure how big i want to build it this time, what would be the pros/cons of building a bigger box, say around 5 cubes compared to something closer to 4.

due to a drunken night i completely ruined my Fi shirt. i poored cranberry juice all over it, and somehow got a hole in it. it was my favorite shirt, and now i need another......is there any way i can purchase another one? feel free to pm me with details, or ill contact by email if need be.

was it sealed up? little trucks lose sssoooo much spl when they are sealed.

uumm no. there was NOTHING else to chase it with, and i just wanted to wash it down with something.

it wasnt a girly drink. it was grey goose, and i was chasing it with cranberry juice. i dont know why though because the juice was really gross.

well ive had my btl in for a few months now, but now, i want something louder. I also want to free up some room in my backseat, just because my current box is HUGE back there. what im wanting to do is recone my 15" fully loaded to a 12", and build a better/stronger box for it. i plan in the future getting a second 20.1, strapping them and adding a couple of batteries. I really want to break 150 on music, would i have a possibilty with a set up like that? i know its all install dependent, but with a good install, could that be possible, without having a fart box?

i highly doubt im breaking 150, especially not sealed up...the port does help as bracing, but the front, and the back im guessing as well, flex a good amount. I personally thought with building a better box and when i strap the 20.1's breaking 150 wouldnt be all that hard, especially in my truck since its so small, but i can see thats going to be harder then i thought...so with that said, i definately dont want to lose any spl with this transition, which like i said, the box for the 12 would be much more managable and i could figure out the sub/port firing direction that works best in my truck, unlike what i have now, and it HAS to be firing forward for both, straight into my seats...

the box my 15 is in right now is 4.5^3. but with the dimensions i have in my truck, its just not optimal for a sub that big. like i HAVE to have the sub facing forward, and the box can only be 12-14 inches deep. the port extends almost the whole length of the box, and i had to trim part of it off to clear the magnet, i couldnt brace anything because the port was in the way and i didnt want to put a big a$$ dowell rod in the middle of it. thats why i think that if i build a better box for a 12, double up the mdf on all the sides that i can, add some bracing, and ill be able to posistion the sub in almost anyway i wanted to, to find out what is the loudest... like i said, i think it would be bad a$$ to break 150, without having a fart box. but if i do switch to the 12 i definately dont want to lose any spl, which again, i think with a better box i wont, because mine right now does flex a pretty decent amount...and i have some other screw ups which id rather not talk about................

what about in a burp? o and i dropped you an email about the recone...

no, actually im not at all. that truck would have lasted about a month before it started completely falling apart. it was more like 4k+ the tinsel leads seperated from the cone IIRC it was a poorly designed box that caused a ton of back pressure.

who are you talking about? galactic monkey, this is old, hes had this for a while, and within a week he blew 2 subs. and im almost positive he didnt even build the box himself, i believe he paid someone to do it.

i still dont see how there is enough room in there for that. minimum for the 18 is 5 cubes, thats 40 cubic feet JUST for the subs, then add on what the port is going to take up, then think of where that amp is going to go, batteries...................

to bad you completely fuxored everything up...........

FI and AA subs will built in the same build house, thats it.

i love the sq of my btl, and it seems that its gotten better as i broke it in, i figured it would be the oppisite :/

you must have some serious spyware issues then......its not coming from my site. Id suggest Adware 6.0 or Spybot. Run those programs and quit lookin at so much pron, your gonna go blind haha, well your site is the only one that does it, im not saying its your sites fault, its just weird...now i just keep getting cannot find server.

it doesnt work like that...impendence rise will be different in every box. and some subs are underated as to what kind of power they can really handle, its to keep people that dont have alot of experience from blowing them. o and audiobahns just plane suck, ive seen them blown and heard about to many of them being blown... and frequencies arent measured in watts...

everytime i try to go to the website it either pops up unavailable, or porn comes up...
