8 guage for sub 1/0 for amp not sure how many watts, but if my electrical was up to par it would be over 2000 i think.
-
that truck is going to be insane, i feel bad enough for my ranger with one 15" btl, i cant imagine having 4 of em in there...
-
makes me want to do something more with my ranger but its already so loud, to me at least.
-
i dont understand why some of you people get so sensitive about people wanting to be heard from far away. Granted, i do think its stupid to want to be heard from far away, but why does no one complain about people with loud ass exhausts and stuff? I have never heard of anyone getting a ticket for it, yet i know one individual who you can hear his trucks exhaust VERY loudly from about 150 yards away. I do think that people should have the courtesy not to bump in neighborhoods, but as far as im concerned, everywhere else is free game.

chamillionaire-think im crazy thats the only real hard hitting song i know but favorite music Chiodos Underoath Circa Survive Darkest hour and for fast double bass Shadows Fall.
-
if i remember correctly, and what are the dimensions of your truck bed?
-
loaded btl 15 is 469 IIRC, and its still rated at 2000 but its really up to you how much you throw at it.

well semi review... all the specs are in the sig. so far im rather suprised with the sq the sub has, i wasnt expecting it to keep up with the kick bass of bands like trivium or shadows fall, but suprisingly it does do a decent job. It also gets VERY loud off the power its getting (20.1 at .6 ohm), and i cant imagine sending this thing 4k watts, especially in my little truck, i feel sorry enough for it now. The only regret i have so far is i wish i would have tuned a little lower, ive already bottomed the sub out once, on bassmekaniks(sp?)-bass i love you in the first few seconds, im not sure what frequency it dips down into but its to low :/ Even with that though, i am very pleased with this sub, i havent set the gain on my amp, but it is below 1/4 and the highest ive been able to set the bass on my H/U is 4(it goes from 0-6) and the loudest volume ive gone to is 45, and that was with bass at 0. the first time i really got to hear the sub strut its stuff was listening to justin timberlake-(dont know the name of the song) through my freinds iPod. And wow, the bass hit so clear and so hard, it was exactly what i was looking for in my new system, my old set-up consisted of 2 10" kicker cvr's off of a zx400.1. Ive always loved going to concerts and walking up to the stage and getting to feel the bass hit, and thats what i was striving for in this set up, and like i said it does it very well. longer review in a few weeks when everything is broken in and ive really had time to sit and listen.

the 12's if they are going to see the same power.
-
i havent really gotten to show of yet, im waiting for the day :/ and my god, 2 more 18's? i want to sit in your truck. i cant imagine what some of you guys vehicles are like, mine hits crazy hard (to me at least) and its only on ~2000 watts.

well i had a few problems with this install, and still have a few to deal with like getting the box bolted down, i didnt think it would be bouncing all over the place when the sub is wanging. 2004 ranger edge extended cab 15" Btl fully loaded IA 20.1 at .6 (i found my impendence problem and got it fixed. stock electrical (for about 2 more weeks) amp barely gets warm. and my truck is hella dirty right now. moving some air trying to get flex, but not the right song for that, i do get a pretty good amount though with certain songs.
-
youd probably want to buy the 1/0 in a spool, it would be cheaper, i paid 239 JUST for my wiring kit, and it didnt come with 8 guage for the subs. Batteries depend on what you get, yellowtops are arouund 230-40 IIRC, and alts can get expensive...4 fully loaded 15" btls would run you close to $2000, and amps would would probably be the rest of your 5k, save more money?
-
youd need everything you listed, a few runs of 1/0 to the back, at least a 300amp alt, and a few batteries. and id say go with btl's for the fact that i just got mine in and its rediculously loud. provided you have the money for all of this and a few good amps?
-
what do you think it would be? i didnt think imp. rise would bring it up that much...
-
no pics for now, i still have to bolt the box down and tie up a few loose ends, but its loud, real loud. im running it in parallel, im not sure of the impendence the amp is seeing, id guess somwhere around .6/.7 the only time my light dimmed where when i was just sitting in idle, so of course because of that everyone thinks i need a capcitor :/ and im going to a comp this saturday.

that box is pretty big for a 15
-
15" btl fully loaded, box is 4.5^3 at 34hz. Install will HOPEFULLY be next friday. i know i didnt do that great with the carpetting, and yes my 20.1 is a little scratched up......
