    The maddness is forth coming

It is for a customer of his, not installed yet I'm sure the general idea is to somehow be able to hear a bit of mids and highs with the bass going full blast @ 12kw on 3x 18" woofers *laughs* Yes that is right. I would love to run the Polks active, I'm SQ guy myself that know how to build them loud also. This customer whats to be able to play it daily, but at show kick some A** also. He wants it to sound good, but getting loud is NUMBER #1 in this build. Also we got a great deal on the SR's at a Sound Advice that was closing its doors.

    The maddness is forth coming

Well i'm offically a sundown dealer. I have 3 3000D and a 100.4 on the way to me. Here is the layout for the system. SUV: 1999 Burban Head unit: Pioneer 7800 Front stage: Polk Audio SR6500 Rears: Rockford 6.5 coax Front and rear amp: Sundown Audio 100.4 Subwoofers: 3 Fully Loaded Fi BTL 18's Subwoofers amps: 3 Sundown 3000D's Power: High output Alternator, 2 Kinetik 1800's up front and 5 Kinetik 2400 outback. Enclouser: Wall with Fiberglass front paint the same color of Suv, ported and tune to around 35 hz.
  3. I was wonder have any testing been done on the SAX 100.2 and SAX 100.4. I about to become a dealer and I'm really in to great multi channel amps and I'm building a SQ comp car now and using DLS ultimate amps. I would just like to now want the real world output of these amps are, seeing how much headroom is built into the sub amps. Thanks for all the help in advance.

3 18" BTL fully loaded, What enclosure?

Sounds great Scott, I will keep you guys informed on the build. It's going to be a nice one. Still in sreach for a little more power for the subs at a good price for him. Looking for something that will make around 3500-3700 watts rms @2 or .5 ohm. Every amp I can think that gets in that range will is around a cool grand of more for the customer. Any help you can provide would be great Thanks

    just ordered 3 btl 18

Bottom line is for the price the Massive P3000.1 can be had for it is almost untouchable for power output to price ratio. For the price of the 1 Mmatts 3500.05 he can almost by two to the Massive P3000.1 Also where is the 2300 watts number coming from. The numbers for the P3000.1 is always around 2600 - 2750 @ 2 ohms @ 14 volts as stated above, and for around 500 bux its hard to beat. I have had more problems with the new Mmatts sub amps then I have had with the Massive sub amps. Now the Stereo amps is a total different story! Just a little food for tought!
  6. I have a customer that just order 3 18" Dual 1 ohm BTL fully load, and I'm going to do a wall for him in a 99 or so Tahoe. We are looking of a 70/30 split. 70 spl and 30 SQ. The truck is daily driver, so he wants to be able to play music and have it sound good. So what box would you guys recommend. They will be power by 3 Massive Audio P3000.1. One more thing he has 3 Mmatt 3.5 pro cast 15 in port box tuned to around 25 hz now running off a Mmatts 3500.05 he's been doing 151 legal and 158 outlaw and lost in outlaw over the weekend to a guy with 4 Kick CVX 15's in a huge port box that did 160.7 and got a little upset and now he's stepping his game up the next level. Thanks for all your help in advance. Mark

    Input on 8's

I'm thinking in the lines of one of the all time great sub/midbass drivers, The JL Audio 8IB4. This is one of the best 8" drivers made. It is a great mibass that will play up the 600-700hz with easy and even higher if need, but put 3 or more in the rear deck and be prepared for some great sounding subwoofer sound. I you can built a driver like this and at a great price I say you would have a winner on your hands.

    Next-Gen 18: IXL-18.4 Pre-Order

Mark, thanks for the info. You say IB, now are we talking IB home and IB car. I really want to do IB in my comp car, I have around 20 cubic feet of rear space for the sub to vent into, now that is around the Vas of the this beast. Now correct me if I'm wrong I would need at least 3 times that to come close to a correctly setup IB sub system using this driver in a car/SUV. Now I could vent them out side the car, that is another whole story. Man I just love the FS of this driver. IB with this thing most be crazy.

    Next-Gen 18: IXL-18.4 Pre-Order

Man I hope that is true about winISD. I a little ticked right now. I just bought two Oz Matrix Elite 15.4 for a Free Air setup in my comp car, and now I see this. I was want a great 18, but none of Manufactors I carry has one, I was looking at the MJ-18, but went with the ME 15.4. If this beast will work great in 4-5 each I will be ordering 2 for my comp car. So Mark, want is the recommanded sealed in enclouser for this beast for car use. Please let me know soon I don't want to miss the pre-order price. Also I will need to change the amps I have not to my sub system. The make to max rms power at 2 ohms, I need to get the 4 ohm ones if I'm going to run these beast. Great looking subwoofer and I amazing price!
