another option is ith subs up/port passenger side
-
not trying to be funny but if I already have a blowthrough, then obviously I know that. I need to know if the port is fine facing forward. And to answer "your question" ........yes it'll be sealed off.The lil small part that sits in the back of the enclosure is what will be inside the trunk. It'll slide in place of the rear seats like a socket and be sealed.

Ok, Been gone from the site for a while but havent forgotten about u guys. Been in my lil shop doing some work for the past few weeks This is what my setup will be and is becoming. Ive already posted this stuff on another site. So if u see me talking in between saying "yea I did this one day".....dont pay it any mind cause Im being lazy right now and copying the posts from edit then pasting them here. some of these pics are a few weeks old. 1997 Thunderbird LX 4.6L V8 1* PWK Design and PWK enclosure build (active 3way front stage) 4* Kenwood 0.75" tweets 4* Dayton 4" full range (front bandpass) 4* Mach5 MLI-65 6.5" midbasses 2* Fully Loaded BTL 12s (old 3magnet versions) 1* 7" flip out touch screen (still undecided) 1* 30gb Apple Ipod (will be functional through the touch screen) 1* 17" rear fold down screen 1* AudioControl DQXS Digital Processor/EQ 1* RF T3002....does around 320rms x 2 @2ohm (front bandpass) 1* Scosche EFX HD4600 a underated 140rms x 4 @ 2ohm (tweets and midbass) 1* Atomic AT-5K 1* Reman MotorCity 250amp Alt 1* Deka Intimidator 9A78DT (front battery) 2* Deka Intimidator 9A31s (rear batteries) 2 runs and big3 using 1/0 welding cable Hey!!!! Whooos that leaning on my box? Oh thats the world famous Pete K. got in my little ghetto wood shop and made my rings to start my glass work. A-pillars and doors are next on my list to be built.

Im thinking of re-doing the passenger side pillar. It doesnt fit very good. I gotta shave it down somemore. If it doesnt work then I just do that one over.
-
Just checked and they still havent gotten here yet. Mail here is slow too. I see u've changed ur mind yet again about the 4-10s.....did u atleast crank them up and see what they sounded like?
-
lol, shot outs to my brotha from anotha motha. Thumper, the colorado cat I bought the BTLs from.....not sure. I jsut got off work and havent checked my mail yet.
-
go to the right and scroll down until u see the "dual BTL 12 Compound Loaded enclosure"...Pete gave me a lil shine on his site/blog http://pwkdesigns.com/blog/index.php?m=08&y=08 give me a good vote, lol

both are right.......wattage plays a role but Im sure alot of people will agree with me when i say the install accounts for 80% of what ur setup will sound like. U can have all the best equipment in the world and run a million watts but its nothing without a superb install. edit: people kill me when they say "which plays lower, a 10" or 18?" Its whatever ur enclosure is tuned to that will determine how low u will play. U can get a 8 to play low if its tuned for it. A sub will only do what its surroundings will allow it to do.
-
whatever ur enclosure is tuned for

Try Tay Dizm ft. T-Pain and Rick Ross: "Beam Me Up" u really might wanna try Rocko: "Tommorow" it has a pretty high bass note that starts from the beginning and doesnt break until a minute into the song. The whole song is just 2 or 3 long bass notes

when u blowthrough in a pick up....did u do any type of bracing with the bed and cab. I know sometimes guys who have walls or blowthroughs in pick ups have a slight wobble between the cab and bed which will break the seal around the enclosure. so I see some people weld braces between it.....did u do anything like that? Nice build by the way.....much props to u.

thanks. Not trying to take from Jacobs business cause as I said before Im also a sundown fan as well. I just want to give a answer that isnt bias in anyway cause Ive installed a sundown before which is why Im a Sundown fan too. either way u cant go wrong
-
u should have known better than to ask this question in a Sundown site. no offense to Sundown but if u ask the same question on neutral grounds u will get more fair answers. But to answer the question I recently purchased a AT-5K straight from Atomic for not that much more than what people are paying for a bnib SAZ3000D. And was quoted a price on their AT-7K that was cheaper than what most people pay for their 5Ks. I got AAA+ customer service and a AAA+ product. Its very underatted and does its rated wattage @ 12.5V so u will see quite a bit of gain @ 14.4V just like the Sundown does. First thing I did was opened the amp up and nothing and I do mean nothing inside that thing can "honestly" be called cheap. I have and will do business with them in the future, so Im speaking from 1st hand experience. I am however a Sundown fan as well so my answer isnt bias at all. I went witht Atomic cause I got a better deal and a bigger product @ the same time. so really between those 2 particular amps u mentioned.......its going to come down to what u prefer personally. Either way u cant go wrong unless the amp was abused. here are some pics first thing I said when I opened it was then I was like oh and to the guy that said Atomics are rated @ 14.4v...........trust me its just on paper. Its a 12.5v reading. Just like rockford sells the T4k as a 4000watt amp and says it does 5k. Very true but if it sells with a 5K price tag I think it should be a 5K amp. Atomic doesnt do that. It says 14.4v on paper but its really a 12.5v rating and is still a reasonable price even from the dealer.

which costs more......a loaded BTL, a Mayhem or one of these special editions?

got the Phoenix Gold Ryval V754....its a certified CEA amp and has a very modest and conservative 120rms x 4 @ 2ohm rating but Im sure its more like 150rms x 4 @ 2ohm. Hopefully more. I like the fact that its very small. notice how smaller it is compared to my RF T3002. Oh and I have a old ass Orion HCCA 2100 for sale.....its broken so I'll let it go for $100 buck + shipping. PM me for pix.....only PM if ur serious about purchasing......I dont have time for that monkey sh*t got all my power plants so next on the list is the 250amp StreetBeat MechMan alt and Audio Control DQXS

I use to powerlift in AAU competitions. Home gyms are just good for toning and stretching. Dont expect to actually gain muscle mass or get stronger. U need free weights for that. When doing bench press, do more inclined benching. It gets more of the top pecks and shoulders into play. If ur doing a standard bench (laying flat); Take ur legs completly off the floor and have them up crossed like u would do a crunch. Doing benches like that takes any cheating out the window. It forces u to use ur abs to keep u stable and balanced. It also helps keep ur back straight which is very important because alot of people have a tendency to cheat and curl their back. And when doing any type of bench try to keep ur hands lil wider than ur shoulders. This will put more of the weight on ur targeted area which is the chest and shoulders. doing benches and pushups close grip is more of a tricep workout than a chest and shoulder which is why u wanna do then a lil wider than usual. 1 exercise that I use to use which helped me in sports alot is the jerk and cling. It uses every muscle in ur body in 1 motion. Its a explosive exercise which takes technique and coordination. but always have a spotter when doing heavy workouts. Never workout alone unless ur doing tone work.

AudioControl DQXS
SKEEMASK replied to bigtoepfer's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
ur not going to get much of a better option than the DQXS......only other processor that Ive seen on its level is the RF one but u have to control it through either a bluetooth or someother handheld remote. Im going to be running a DQXS as well with the wired remote. Altogether u can get the unit and remote for around 5something. I know sonicelectronix has em and u can find them for around that price on ebay too. U wont see too many used ones as most people who have them arent trying to get rid of em cause they are the sh*t. -
woooooow. almost 5K for some ugly ass 21" factory wheels. Thats how these companies get over. $285 for engine cover paint. When u can take the cover to a shop urself and get it done for less than $100. $495 for some cheap (premium) Boston Acoustic speakers that u will probably take out and upgrade anyway. but still after all that the prices on the car itself isnt as bad as what I thought. I figured they would be up in the $40K range. $27k aint bad for that LS2 .
