Anyone know the "Le" parameter of the Q18 dual 2 ohm sub? Thanks for any help.
-
It'll be nice when the T/S parameters are released for these subs. Gotta love the 28mm Xmax. http://www.bladeice.com/mayhem.php

Maybe he just simply wants to know.

Yes, EACH Atlas 15 is in a 10 cubic foot box tuned to 17hz. That was the recommendation from Ascendant Audio for extended low end output.

I have a pair of Atlas 15's in my HT. Each is in a 10 cubic foot box tuned to 17 hz with a pair of 4 inch flared ports.

Looking good, Mark!

Amp and Vents for EBS Mach 5 MJ-18 Home Theater Sub.
Mike P. replied to Brian10962001's topic in Home Audio
The 4 ohm version models a little better. Two 4 inch flared ports 21.75 inches long would tune it to 18hz. The 300 watt Bash amp from Mach 5 is a good match for this sub. WinISD shows Spl to be 106db down to 18hz, and then you add room gain on top of that. A slot port would work too, although I'ver never built one. I've always used flared ports. -
Amp and Vents for EBS Mach 5 MJ-18 Home Theater Sub.

Which MJ18? There's an 8 ohm version and a 4 ohm version. Each models differently and has specific requirements. -
I'm getting the same thing.

Two subs inverted on a enclosure is not push pull. When one of the two is inverted then it's push pull. http://www.musicanddesign.com/Isobaric.html

Hi Blue, I built boxes so I could use them as stands for the other speakers. There wouldn't have been enough room to fit everything in if I built tubes. If you get these IXL-18's, I guarantee you'll be impressed!

My subs have arrived! CD on dustcap to show how big this thing is! Comparison pics. IXL beside a Pioneer TS-W384 15 inch woofer. I'll be starting my sub build pretty soon. I'll be going with 12 cubic feet tuned to 16 hz. This is a lot of sub for the money. I'm looking forward to getting these subs built and installed in my home theater!!!!

please help! i need a box design for mj 18's
Mike P. replied to 6pucker's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Considerably? Allowing 1.3 cubic feet for subs and porting still gives him a 8 cubic foot box. Close enough. -
please help! i need a box design for mj 18's
Mike P. replied to 6pucker's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
The recommended size for the MJ18 ported is 128 litres (4.5 cu. ft.) 30Hz tune. His box internal size is 9.3 cubic feet. Why is everyone saying he can't do a dual ported? What am I missing here?
