  1. ok now for some carnage....i had to cut the headliner off at the wall and it was a BITCH. Its done now though Re-attaching it will be a challenge but i have a few ideas
  2. thanks! took a few pics in the daylight.......its really hard to capture the black material though. You can see the bottom peice a little better in this view. One last pic next to them and its time to shut the hatch and head up front
  3. thanks not much but a little something.....its all black now in back. used SEM plastic Dye on the plastic trim piece....i would have wrapped it but the ridges wouldnt have looked good IMO. its just a small trim piece for under the amp but the bends are tight....came out pretty good though finally all black!
  4. dont worry the 2 bottom pieces will get done soon, nothing will be "tan" in the back when its finished
  5. more pics........it looks WAY better in the daylight but the pics still dont show what your lookin at with eyeballs.........im VERY happy with it!! oh i still love these had to take another pic
  6. i wish it was about completed.......after the rear is done i move to the front and get the interior/dash/headliner/console done i can actually FINALLY get the system put together (front end of the system that is) thanks man!!!
  7. brand new rubber seal......had to replace it since my dog tore his up. Looks better brand new anyway this is what it looks like with the hatch shut.....

  10. ok ive been working a little here and there but i didnt want to post till i seen what it was going to look like. Still not done but now im starting to feel it more That new mesh showed up and it was black but thats nothing that couldnt be painted to match....
  11. ok this morning i broke down and ordered up some of this.....if it looks good, and i can see thru it decently, and if Chicken likes it, ill keep it. If not, it was a $30 experiment so no big deal
  12. if i use a perforated metal that matches the amps, you wont be able to see thru it very good and thats the point of the cut outs....thanks though!!
  13. im still not 100% sure im going with the mesh but its a little something ive been tossing around in my head. Its mesh OVER plexi so it can come right off if i change my mind....

    FI BTL CRACKED SPIDER???

got pics? knowing what they are made of, i dont see how it could "crack"....
  15. well its been about a month and im happy to report that my subs are breaking in a little....they are still very stiff so they arent all the way broken in yet but they sound better every day My laptop is broke so i cant meter it ATM and i dont really have a place to do it anyway (or the time to do it) but to me, knowing what it DID sound like, i have to say its louder and has more authority. I can tell by watching the hairtrick vids i made that there is a difference. Also, i usually use the large screws with #3 heads to hold the subs in but for the past year almost i have had to use the "gold" screws from home depot and put them in at an angle to get to "fresh meat". The larger, thicker screws wont let me go at an angle like the thinner ones will. The speaker cut out holes have taken damage due to 4 years of subs in and out. (I had the RE MT's in and out of that box 20x more then any of my BTL's)....anyway, the gold screws were working great for the longest time but just recently i looked back and saw two of my subs LITTERALLY gettin up out tha' box. I broke every single screw on 2 of the subs....Something that NEVER happened before (for me anyway). Anyway, its just a slight updated "review" but these subs are AWESOME. Add that to the new tinsel configuration (sandwiched in the spiders) and you got one hell of a sub! Ill report back on this after another month of abuse and they should be even more softened up by then. I REALLY need me a new box though.....this one has done its time in the line of duty for sure at almost 4 years old
  16. heres a quick vid of how nice it snaps into place
  17. Ok this looks just like last nights pics except one thing, now they are attached. It took 196 magnets to do it. That is 45 per side X2 plus some for the middle pieces. I need to order more to finish but they are locked on NICELY now. They shouldnt move from the bass but if they do, once they are wrapped, i will put some CA glue on the magnets and let em lock up for life
  18. thanks !!!!!! i dont know though man, i guess if i dont do it, its not gonna do itself
  19. a quick 1/2" roundover at the ports and middle chamber opening.... tomorrow i start attaching with tons of Neo Magnets then it should be ready to wrap...
