  2. the amp or each panel? The amp is 200 lbs.........i dont know how heavy the panels are yet but they arent light thats for sure
  3. Burrito stopped by to chill and gave me a hand.......time to sammich the top board to the baffle. Ok thats it for tonite...
  4. Ok so this looks like just an ordinary sheet but its not just a sheet, its sheet #5.
  5. now you know what time it is here 29oz Mat Some Black Pigement.......makes it look better then the awful brown
  6. added some 2x3's and due to the way the box is designed i was only able to get the small 1 1/8" batten on the top and bottom. It works great though because when building a box inside of a car you need to screw from the inside out.......they will work perfect.
  7. thanks i did a ton of stuff today, not just the caddy but this still took a few......its now glued in place and screwed in with some fat ass screws......

nice box, i like them resin-45's in the corners
  9. Laminated together with good old TiteBond II in case you cant tell, this is to reinforce the baffle, it is only part of what im going to do......it should be VERY strong when im done
  10. ok its gonna be alot of build pics and nothing too fancy but this is just part of what i have planned....... we took an entire sheet and cut it into 6" Strips..... my man DAve helpin me.....cant get enough nicotine
  11. sweet man!! Cant wait to show you!
  12. hey Saltine: ive never experienced this amp other then having possesion of it.....does it sound like ungodly power for only 3 batterys or what? Im almost certain chickens hoopty will be louder than that truck in the pic, well im hoping anyway, but regardless....does it sound like it has some potential?
  13. im glad to see a few of you actually read what i post sometimes :) people get things twisted and usually the story ends up WAY off. You guys are on it though. Yes there is 20 cubes BEHIND each set of 4 subs (before port, and sub) so 17.5-18 after displacement maybe even less when you guys see what i do next. Shouldnt be too bad. yes i could have gotten any amps i wanted, less money more power for sure. But there is something special about the T15k. Its HUGE, its RARE, its (now) $25,000 msrp, and for putting out 16,142RMS it should only draw 350 amps at any time. That i know of, no other "civilian" has one.......i think maybe Rockford and a shop somewhere? I dunno, i know i have serial # 0003 and i dont think they made too many more then that anyway this should be interesting! last nite i organized my work area because i hate working in clutter so tonite i should get some progress. Dont expect too much at a time though its gonna be a long build!
  14. this vid was taken by someone out at the Cruise on Saturday nite......we were posted up i swear it turned into a straight side show.........sorry for the poor quality but it should be enough to pass the time OH ya i didnt have a converter for a .3g2 format to Mpeg so i had to use this freebie with the watermark. If anyone wants to convert it for me i can send the entire file to you..its a crap quality vid anyway... the good thing is that at least 50 more people, and their friends when they get home, now know who a little underground company called Fi Car Audio is It was pretty wild out there
  15. here is another one......better quality because it was my cam but still very dark. You can kinda make out that cute little chick when she backs away and fixes her top
  16. actually im only planning on 2, maybe 3 batterys....maybe 2 alts. 350 amps is all i need to feed this thing......read this thread it will help you understand http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...?showtopic=2267 some people say it cant work but you know i guess ill find out first hand
  17. i also did some experimenting with some extra boards, and some framing on the inside. I had a few pieces superglued together in the shape i wanted and when i pulled on one piece to get it to "meet" i broke it apart no big deal i know how i want to do that area now and that sorta decided my next mission. The baffles will be removed next and reinforced like CRAZY. That will be this next weeks project. AFter that i put it all back in and finally glue and attach it all together. Right now im just makin sure what i do is gonna work then its FULL throttle ahead. Keep your eyes open for this one Gonna be a LONG project but as long as i do something every day it is good enough for me.
  18. well those amp pics are old and it hasnt moved much till today. Me and dave lugged it into the caddy just so i can see how it will fit. I have plenty of room to do what i need to do....dont ask though, youll see.
  19. you know me mayne, what makes you think there wont be vids? You dont want vids of the install though do you? Aint really anything to roll tape on until its functional.....gona be a long ass project so it may be a few but you KNOW ill have vids of course!
  20. wow. Can the BTL's Handle 6k watts Daily? actually with 8 BTL's they will only be getting around 2k RMS each.....i like to overpower my subs personally but this should still get disgusting loud
  21. i think the MSRP on it right now is $25,000 but we paid $20,500 out the door......i said "we" LOL. Well i wrote the check but it was his money Ive also had the amp for MONTHS and MONTHS and he has never seen it so ya, its sorta "ours" i guess yes its expensive.....worth it? who knows, ill find out. Fun? definitly.
