Are you talking about the really old ones that just look like 1/8 inch steel box cause thats what it looks like to me. I think these are the best looking punch amps from Rockford but they weren't around as long as they had those nasty chrome ones.

I dont think it would even do any thing to protect the amp. Its really just going to be a waste of space and as far as im concerned its just like putting as resistor in the circuit to lose voltage.

Man sorry for your trouble that your going through I hope it gets sorted out. These problems are why I think paypal should work with the shipping companies like UPS, DHL, and FedEx. Like paypal will notify the seller that the money is sent and then get the tracking number and not deposit the money in the sellers account until the package has been delivered. But it still wouldn't help from people sending fake packages.

Alright I gonna Be a Dork and say that a speaker can put out power however not really applicable. Hook up a volt meter to your coils and move the cone up and down you get a voltage. Same kinda principle that those battery less flashlights work you move a magnet through the coil to produce power thats stored in the capacitor till used by the led.

I'm eager to see what AA is going to have to offer been waiting awhile to see. As to Fi still being a boner product or not I going to say no they have proven their selfs through quality, customer service, and people just being happy with their product.

I wanna know when you are supposed to re cone a sub woofer ?? Is it kinda just a feel kinda thing like pushing it up down and guessing if it is to loose or to go on guessing how many hours the sub has been played.

You were right denim, I ran down to the shop that Had the amp and they wanted $499 for it. I just have to sit down and figure out what I really want to do with my stereo. See I was thinking that since I can only fit 5.25 speakers in my doors that I would get the 2300f and hook up something like an RL-i 8 to fill in the frequencies that the 5.25's can't play and the subs shouldn't play.

The US Acoustics 2300f was built by them right? I can still pick up a brand new one and was wondering if Zed built those models aswell. Also how much were them brand new? If I do decide to pick it up i want to know a starting point for negotiations.

Tirefry it is not easy to do i tried it once with an old blown sub. It was especially hard around the surround strong glue and delicate material.

Thanks everyone and denim sorry I dont have any plans of getting rid of it actually Thinkin of using it for some components in my door. It will probably be a little over kill for them but owell. Ive had the amp for about 8 or 9 years and love it. I honestly didnt know what i was getting when i bought it. Was originally goin to get a hifonics Boltar but the shop sold it before i got to buy it. So i did a little research on other amps they had there and ended up with that gem. The amp has done my well. The shop i bought it from still has a 2300f brand new in one of the display cases and i tryin to justify buyin it cause i want it but have no real need for it. The shop has changed owners since i bought my amp there and the people there have no idea what they have cause i was talkin to them about it.
