Stop with all the useless punctuation. And to top it off you are wrong. If you glue a box together correctly the glue will be stronger than the mdf itself which makes the screws completely unnecessary. Their biggest benefit is they idiot proof the assembly, so maybe you are saying that you need some extra help... (much better use of ellipses than above ) Do you need screws? No. Should you use them? Why not. Personally I never do, but that doesn't mean you should follow suit. Just to clarify some of the other posts as well, don't use liquid nails. If you do, you will need screws as it is crap for building boxes. Real woodglue is all you need, Elmers or Titebond will be more than adequate. If I were you, I'd follow Topgun's advice when it comes to working with wood. If screws are SO Unnecessary why do ALL of the top box builders use them..... Are they wrong and you are right. People that make a living off of this would know a little more than people that just build box's in there garage. Probably because they dont have time to sit around and wait for the glue to dry. It is easier and more cost effective to screw it together then wait for the glue to dry. You know time = money.

Could a Kicker ZX750 800watt Amp power a 15" T1 Power 1200 watt?
NB50 replied to holmesjohnson's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Is that even English? And an 800W RMS amp will power a 600W RMS sub. Don't look at max ratings. -

Best pic I have of one in use. -

Side post terminal because GM attaches the battery cable to the side of the battery instead of the top. Take out the bolt that connects the battery wires to the battery then put this in place. It has a separate bolt that you remove so you can add a power wire with a ring terminal attached to it. -

GM side post terminals. -
http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...showtopic=25795 That will be better then those hifonics. But really I wouldn't put more then 1000W to an SSD.

They do make a nice SQ sub though.

Perfect amp for 15" SSD

What is the impedance of the coils on the sub? -
SSA DCON GIVEAWAY! 2 SUBS!

Bah, not even drawn once. That is my luck. Wait a minute my number appears 3 times within the first 3 numbers, I demand a recount. Congrats to the winners. -
SSA HOODIES, HATS & DICKIES BUTTON DOWNS (updated, pics p.2)
NB50 replied to Mark LaFountain's topic in News, Announcements, and Lobby
added my estimated dickies shirt pics.... just straight up clean looking shirts with our updated logo. We where sorta on a budget on how far we could go with the embroidery, the more you want the more it cost obviously so we had to draw the line at some point. We spent so far about $1500 on them! They look good. I know the more you add the more it cost. I like more of a simplified look myself. -
If it looks just like the diagram then your fine. You could always check it with a multimeter.

I'm interested in the Dickie shirts, would like to know what they look like a little more. Is that the new logo, SSA with the subs listed below? -
I dont buy into having a fixed length for a ground ie it has to be under X amount. Make it what ever length you need.

For what its worth I have 2 Flatlyne 12's sealed and have had people impressed with the output of them. I haven't tried them ported yet so I can't do a direct comparison, but I believe they will do well ported. My review. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...showtopic=25213

You can get them in D4's.
-
:cough: Flatlynes :cough:
-
You want to run about double their rated power. I think a death row would be a better option.
-
What ohm load are you thinking of running them at?
-
If you want a good answer, it would be best to measure the coil and gap then email the companies that could possibly do it.
-
huh, it is 3.04ft^3 @ 34.6Hz with 15.63in^2/ft^3 after all displacements per sub. IIRC Jacob recommends 3ft^3 per 15" nightshade.
-
If you subtract the 2" from the height the enclosure ends up to be 3.04ft^3 @ 34.6Hz with 15.63in^2/ft^3 after all displacements. Google sketch up.
-
Not a good idea. You wont be gaining anything, power would be split between the resistor and sub. So just in general your sub would see 750W and the resistor would see 750W. Also the cost of a resistor to handle 750W thermally would likely cost more then adding a second sub.

X2 I believe the 8500WRMS is a burp rating.
