Decent head unit?
NB50 replied to Dangrebel's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
This clarion deck is supposed to be active capable and is right around your price range, problem is its not out yet. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-vmha4NovWEc/p_020CZ702/Clarion-CZ702.html There was a JVC deck that was active capable but isn't made anymore. -
Yes, 4 ohm rating, manual says 330 x 6 for 2 ohm but your not going to notice the 50w difference. I know I love mine and one will be with me for quite awhile.
-
V1 and V2 were rated at 150 X 6 and the V3 is rated at 190 X 6, not to much to tell a difference. I kinda want to get a V3 but that means I have to try and get rid of the one I have now unless I keep it.
-
V1 and V2 will look alike, only way I can think of telling them apart is getting the serial number and emailing Zed to figure it out. V3's have a different board design and are easily told apart from the other two versions. V1 and V2 look like this. V3 look like this.

Impedance is not highest at tuning. There are two peaks one above and one below tuning. The impedance graph would look something like this (Blue Line) for a ported enclosure, this one is tuned to about 31hz. OP, I have that enclosure figured at about 0.94ft^3 @ 44hz after port and driver displacement.

This, or use fuses like you should have back there anyway. -

Maybe you should post all the info here. You say its at the shop but I've also seen some places that say its on the east side by Selfridge. Kinda hard to go to a show when you don't know where its at. -
You choose which coil option you need and it is asking if you want a basket if you choose yes they will ship you a basket at added cost.

You need a DMM for testing. Could be as simple as turning up the sub level on the head unit.

2 SA10's, 2 VVX10's, or 4 VVX8's help me decide.
NB50 replied to hondakilla98's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
If your using .75" wood you will have to mount the subs on top of the enclosure if going with 10"s. 10" cutout is 9.25" while your internal height would be 9". -
I see your rage and raise you more. Sounds absolutely sick on a decent stereo. Well not that recording but you get the idea.
