  1. I'm not sure I would totally trust the geek squad. I've been able to fix problems they couldn't. There are some tricks to getting information off that they might not do. If I was in Kansas I would look at it for you.

Not everyone is solely basing on Shizzon's experience, but it is an indication of build quality.

I usually set it down, have a smpoke and curse at it. J When I changed the oil on my Dad's Escape a couple of weeks ago I couldn't, for the life of me, get the oil filter to thread. I seriously thought I was going to go crazy...haha I didn't put the wrench down when trying to reconnect the negative battery terminal. I was trying to put the ring terminals on the bolt when one slipped off hit the wrench and the other end of the wrench was touching the positive terminal. Negative contact point. Positive contact point

How many people take the time to put down tools when working on something? ie your trying to tighten a bolt but the treads won't catch so you try to tighten it with your hand still holding on to the wrench. Or do you put the wrench down. Do you still do it if a battery is involved?

Figure of speech, but in reference to believing that your "research" will equate to reality in the car. So then you have experience with these enclosures in a vehicle? Nope, don't need any. Professional engineers can't make a model that matches reality and you expect to? If not, I might not have a job. And yet engineers still make and use models. I never said anywhere that I expect to match reality, isn't that what your supposed to do. Create a design, test the design, make changes to improve the design, test new design, etc.

It is an ABC(aperiodic bi-chamber) box, you may not be able to see it well but there is a chamber between the port on the back wall and the port on the left side. I see it now. What are the benefits of this type of enclosure? Flatter response? What is it tuned to? From my research you get a wider range of efficiency over a regular ported enclosure, more cone control over the range. The chamber that houses the driver is 31hz while the small chamber next to it is 72hz both chambers combined is 40.5hz. The down side of them they are huge, weigh a ton, and are more difficult to build. I built one before that should work for my Flatlyne, this one is a little more in depth though. I need to get a mic so I can see what they are really doing. Here is the one I built before. Keep drinking "that" kool-aid if you think your installation in a vehicle is going to be the same as your plan. What kool-aid? There is no references to kool-aid any where? And I know things change when put in a vehicle, there is also ways to predict what will happen. As stated before I would like to get a mic to see what gain is happening in the car,and apply it to the predicted model to get a better plan.
